Chelsea are in the market for a new left-back this summer.
Emerson Palmieri and Marcos Alonso have both been utilised by Frank Lampard in the 2019/20 season, with Cesar Azpilicueta also slotting in there on occasion.
None have really commanded the role though and managed to secure a regular first team berth.
Lampard, who has been linked with a number of attacking players this summer, having signed two already in the form of Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner, has also been tipped to bolster his defensive options, with the Blues having the worst defensive record in the top half.
Ben Chilwell has been linked with an £80million move, but a cheaper option would be Real Madrid's Sergio Reguilon - available for around £22.5million.
Reguilon has spent the 2019/20 season on loan with Madrid's La Liga rivals Sevilla and been in impressive form.
He has made 36 appearances for Sevilla, scoring three goals and helping the club to the semi-finals of the Europa League, where they will play Manchester United.
But Chelsea re not the only interested party - London rivals Arsenal are also credited with an interest in the 23-year-old.
However, the Blues have a key advantage when it comes to completing a transfer - they will be playing Champions League football next season.
According to AS the appeal of Champions League football is a key priority for Reguilon, with Arsenal only able to offer Europe League competition.
