The 'Bielsa' gamble that could see Leeds United fans in the money this weekend

Leeds United fans will be delighted to see the return of Championship action, with the Whites taking on Barnsley on Sunday.

Marcelo Bielsa's side will be looking to bounce back from a surprise defeat against Swansea City before the International break when they make the short trip to South Yorkshire.

With three points on the table against a side Leeds should really be beating, the Whites are understandably short odds with the bookies.

William Hill have United as short as 1/2 to take the spoils in the Yorkshire derby.

However, Leeds fans that are fancying a punt can boost their odds, by adding another leg to their accumulator - from a rather unexpected source!

On Saturday, a horse conveniently named 'Bielsa' is running at the Doncaster St Leger meeting.

The horse, like Bielsa's side, is also a favourite, although he isn't Argentine, sadly.

The four-year-old owned by Kevin Ryan has never lost a race, winning all three races it's run with Kevin Stott in the saddle.

Based at the Highbank Stud, under 20miles from Elland Road, Bielsa is just 13/2 to make it four-in-a-row.

Whites fans can back a 'Leeds double' at 37/4, which would round off a perfect weekend for Bielsa and his four-legged namesake.
