Ah, the Emmys have come around once again. It’s a night (morning, for us) where celebrities grace the red carpet donning spectacular gowns and suits for the internet to pick apart. That’s where we come in.
The red carpet is my favourite part of the Emmy Awards. I like fashion, what can I say? And with the biggest and brightest of the US television industry gracing the carpet, it’s the perfect opportunity to admire the artistry, drama and sometimes questionable choices that come with awards show fashion.
Comedian Nate Bargatze will be hosting the festivities, and with big names like Ben Stiller, Kristen Bell, Adam Brody and Cate Blanchett all nominated for awards, it’s bound to be an exciting night full of snubs, tea and moments that will have everyone talking.
But before the trophies are handed out, let’s get into what really matters: the fashion.
The Emmys 2025 Red Carpet: All the best (and worst) looks coming to you live!
Aimee Lou Wood

Amiee Lou Wood looks as cute as a button! I love the contrasting red and pink. Kinda wish the cape was cut off though — I think it’s an unecessary addition.
Hunter Schafer

I am LOVING the darker hair on Hunter Schafer! And this gown was practically made for her, From the waist detailing to the subtle pleating on the high neck, this oozes sophistication. Get it baddie!
Cate Blanchett

If men in black suits are boring, women in black suits are also boring, sorry! I guess Cate Blanchett gets extra points for the bedazzled deep V, but I’m not the biggest fan of this.
Suzie Toot

If this was a mime contest, Suzie Toot would win, hands down. It’s not a mime contest, but I’m still obsessed. Especially with how the buttons and bow on the clutch match the dress.
Leslie Bibb

It’s very easy to do the classic black ballgown wrong by making it way too simple, and I think Leslie Bibb has mastered it for her Emmys red carpet look. The unique silhouette of the bust paired with the silver accents elevates it, and it’s actually interesting to look at. Love!
Sydney Sweeney

Look, Sydney Sweeney may not be the world’s favourite Hollywood actress RN, but you gotta admit, she looks good. The bow detailing on the bust? The silk wrap? Trés belle.
Leighton Meester

I didn’t even recognise Leighton Meester with her new red hair and side bangs, but I absolutely love this new look for her. Her dress is really simple, and not my favourite of the night, but it isn’t ugly, either. Her hair is the star of the show, and that’s okay!
Adam Brody

Adam Brody looks so handsome! The ruffle detailing on the shirt is a gorg subtle detail. And hey, while it’s a pretty basic suit, it’s not plain black! And we love that.
Walton Goggins

At first, I hated this. But after a closer look, I think Walton Goggins pulls off the unbuttoned shirt vibe. The long pendant pulls it together, too. It’s cool!
Sarah Paulson

When I look at this, all I can think about is Nelly Furtado’s song, ‘I’m Like A Bird’. I hope no feathered friends were harmed in the making of this dress! It’s quirky and slightly whacky, just like Sarah Paulson, which is a vibe, I guess.
Lisa

Lisa looks cute as a button!!! The colour? The TEXTURE?! This dress is immaculate. She’s also clearly very keen for Wicked Part 2, because this dress is so Glinda-coded — and I love it.
Natasha Rothwell

Natasha Rothwell looks absolutely beautiful — and just so happy to be there! I love the big balloon sleeves on her off-shoulder gown. It’s simple but stunning.
Tramell Tillman

I did a double take when I say Tramell Tillman’s Emmys outfit. There seems to be a theme of men in white suits, and I’m not mad about it, everyone is pulling it off. I’m not too sure what’s on his lapel, but I think it adds an extra something-something to the fit, and the white bow-tie is a nice touch, too.
Joella

I mean, why follow a trend when you can quite literally embody it? Alas, this is not it. I just looked at my Labubu and sighed.
Megan Stalter

If this were for any other occasion, I’d revolt at the jeans and a plain tee — but Megan Stalter ate this up. And the bag. Say it louder for the people in the back!
Britt Lower

Britt Lower looks beautiful. She always does. But this dress is giving us nothing. Firstly, why is it creased? It kinda reminds me of something fresh out of the 80s. But hey, the 80s are coming back, so maybe she’s just ahead of the curve.
Kristen Bell

Kristen Bell looks incredible, don’t get me wrong. But I can’t tell if I love or hate this dress. The hair, accessories and skirt is so classy, but the top half of the dress is giving club rat.
Pedro Pascal

I love everything about this. Pedro Pascal can do no wrong, and while I would usually think that someone in an all-white suit looks like a scientist knees deep in a lab experiment, he pulls this off so well! Topped off with the that lil smirk? Super schmick.
Jenna Ortega

I fear that Jenna Ortega ate and left no crumbs once again. Everything about this, from the gemstones that are so meticulously placed (but made to look like it was effortlessly thrown on) with the wet look hair, smokey eyes and pouty dark lip is impeccable. I think this has to be my favourite look of the night.
Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco

Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco were a cuteness overload when getting papped on the red carpet. And while I have no comment on Benny’s suit (he just looks like every other guy in a suit, TBH), Selena’s dress is stunning. Edna Mode wouldn’t approve of the cape, but I think it’s chic.
Rita Ora and Taika Waititi

I’m in two minds. I think both Rita Ora and Taika Waititi look GREAT, but this has been done before, has it not? I also think Rita’s dress looks a little cheap… I know it probably costs more than my life savings, but IDK, I’m not the biggest fan. However I love Taika’s suit! The glasses is the perfect finishing touch.
Naomi and Adam Scott

Cuties Naomi Scott and Adam Scott appeared on the red carpet together, with Naomi in a black halter neck dress and Adam in a navy suit jacket with grey high waisted trousers. Sorry, but Naomi’s dress is boring AF, I’ve gotta say it. But I love the flower on Adam’s lapel! And the trousers with the suspenders are a classy touch. I love when men jazz up their suits!
Carrie Coon

Carrie Coon with a blonde pixie cut!! Adore her, adore the hair, adore the colour, but something in me wants to take a pair of fabric scissors to the bottom of the dress. A very solid 9.5 out of 10.
Tramell Tillman

If there was an award for ‘Best Dressed Man at the Emmys Red Carpet’, it would go to Severance star Tramell Tillman. He ate up the all white suit, with a bow tie to match! IDK what that thing on his lapel is, but it’s the perfect accent.
Well, that’s it for this year’s 2025 Emmys red carpet. See you all next year!
