The best videos of the Red Arrows going over Nottingham

Some people only heard them.

Others only caught a glimpse.

That's the problem with the Red Arrows. They're so damned quick, whenever they put in an appearance it can be a blink-and-you-miss-it moment.

It's especially the case when they're flying over a city centre, and there are pesky buildings in the way.

So, for anyone who missed it, we've pulled together some of the best videos of the RAF display team as they streaked across the sky above Nottingham on Monday.

The Red Arrows were flying over the city to mark four decades of the Nottingham Business School based at Nottingham Trent University.

The flypast also recognised the service of NTU alumnus and Red Arrows pilot, Flight Lieutenant Sean James Cunningham, who died while performing pre-flight checks in 2011.

Nottingham Business School will be awarding a Sean Cunningham Memorial Prize to an 'outstanding student who has shown dedication to team work, support for other students and a consistently strong academic performance'.

The Red Arrows, based at RAF Scampton in Lincolnshire, have been going since 1965.

Flying Hawk jets, all of the display pilots have flown in RAF operations previously.
