LA. Outside the palatial residence of music business mogul Terry Valentine (Peter Fonda), Wilson (Terence Stamp) and his acquaintance Ed (Luis Guzman) sit in a hire car. Wilson peers at the house through a pair of binoculars; a gaggle of men in red tuxedos busy themselves outside the entrance.
"Looks like he's brought in the heavy mob", Wilson scowls. "You're kidding me."
"Extra muscle. Bodyguards. They look a right load of wallies, though. You should see 'em, strolling up and down in front of the house..."
Ed grabs the binoculars.
"Let me see."
"...All done up like the fucking household cavalry."
Ed looks up at Valentine's house.
"They're valets, man."
"Valets? What d'you mean, valets? Who does he think he is - the Marquis of fucking Tavistock?"
"No, valets, man. They park the car. It looks like they're having a party."
"Right."
He drives up to the house. A valet hands Wilson a ticket, then attemps to take his car keys. Wilson snatches them away and heads inside.
