The 'best scenario' at Tottenham as Antonio Conte and Mauricio Pochettino tipped to replace Nuno

Former Tottenham star Jamie O'Hara has admitted he can see Mauricio Pochettino returning to Tottenham.

Spurs are on the hunt for another new manager, having sacked Nuno Espirito Santo just four months after he replaced Jose Mourinho as head coach at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Pochettino was sacked after five years at the helm in November 2019 and replaced by Mourinho, who lasted just 17 months in charge.

Espirito Santo has now followed suit, with a demoralising 3-0 defeat at home to Manchester United on Saturday, during which Spurs failed to register a single shot on target, with the head coach booed on a number of occasions and chants of "you don't know what you're doing" raining down on him, proving to be the final straw for chairman Daniel Levy.

Antonio Conte, heavily linked with becoming the manager in the summer, before Espirito Santo got the nod, is once again tipped to make the move to north London.

But there have been rumours surrounding Pochettino making a shock return too.

Pochettino has guided Paris Saint-Germain to the top of Ligue Un in France and his team are unbeaten in the Champions League so far too.

However, there are rumours of discontent, despite Pochettino working with some of the best players in world football in Kylian Mbappe, Lionel Messi and Neymar.

And O'Hara thinks rather than going for Conte, Spurs could move for Pochettino, with Conte going the other way.

Speaking on Talksport he said: "He could come back, you know, Pochettino. I could see that happening.

"They won [at the weekend] but they're not convincing at the moment, PSG. They're really not that convincing.

"You know those owners are ruthless. If the Champions League doesn't go quite how they want it to, because he's got to win the Champions League there Poch, he could end up back at Spurs.

"I could imagine them sacking him, bringing in Antonio Conte at PSG, and all of a sudden we turn our attention back to Poch.

"That would be the best scenario."
