Love was in the air at Cramlington Hospital when two beautiful babies were born on Valentine's Day.
First-time parents Bethany Leech, 22, and Steve Thorne, 29, were overjoyed when their baby boy arrived into the world at 10.23am on February 14. New mum, Bethany, from Blyth, said her son was the "double of his dad" and decided to name him Steve Junior after his proud father.
Weighing 6.5lb, the couple couldn't praise the staff at Cramlington Hospital enough for the safe arrival of their healthy baby boy and said it was so special he was born on Valentine's Day.
Bethany said: "I was due to be induced today but went into labour myself and our son was born at 10.23am.
"He is our first baby and it is dead special that he has been born on Valentine's Day. All of the staff at Cramlington Hospital have been lush.

"He is the double of his dad and we are over the moon."
Meanwhile, parents Eleanor Howe, 19, and partner Logan Rutherford, 22, also had an extra special delivery on Valentine's Day.
The proud parents welcomed their daughter, Lyla Macie Rutherford-Howe, at 5.21am at Cramlington Hospital. Weighing 6lb 5oz, mum Eleanor from Longbenton, Newcastle, said their beautiful baby girl would be a little sister to their two-year-old son, Hunter.

"I was induced at 9pm last night and Lyla was born at 5.21am," she said.
"We are over the moon. We didn't expect to have the baby on Valentine's Day, I was due to go in at 2pm but because it was full I ended up going in at 7pm. It is the best Valentine's Day present ever."
