The best places to go trick or treating in Leeds for a plentiful haul of sweets

Halloween is one of the most exciting nights or the year for kids all over Leeds, with the prospect of coming home with a goody bag full of sweets.

There's always a bit of luck involved though, with some grumpy neighbours refusing to cough up with their fair share of chocolate buttons and packs of Haribo.

However, social networking service Nextdoor has asked all its members in Leeds whether they will be giving out Halloween sweets to find out which parts of the city are the most generous.

It seems as though North Morley, Swinnow Moor and Calverley Victoria Park are the most likely areas to fill your bags with all sorts of treats.

At the other end of the scale, it might be worth avoiding Potternewton, which ranks as the stingiest area of Leeds in terms of handing out sweets.

South Horsforth and Shadwell are also full of scrooges, according to the data, so don't expect a huge haul if you're trying your luck here.
