The best pieces from Jacquemus X Nike to shop now

2022 has been big for luxury fashion collaborations, from Gucci teaming up with Adidas to Burberry working with Supreme, and now the long-awaited Jacquemus x Nike collection will be available to buy on Nike.com.

The 15-piece collection includes a mixture of athletic-inspired pieces alongside everyday silhouettes that have been given a minimal but elevated aesthetic, and all come in a neutral-toned colour palette.

Minutes after the collection dropped on Jacquemus.com, it sold out and crashed the site, so you’ll need to be hot off the mark when the pieces go live at 8am on Thursday July 7. Prices range from £37.95 (a bucket hat) to £152.95 (the updaed version of the Humara trainers), so you can bag a full look for as little as £350.

In signature Jacquemus style, sensuous details are woven right through the collection with the use of body straps that feature the Nike tick in metal hardware, blending the two brands’ DNA.

As explained by Simone Porte Jacquermus, the eponymous founder and creative director of the house, “I wanted to create a collection that reinterprets athletic women’s sportswear in a minimal way. I have always been inspired by vintage ACG pieces and Nike campaigns from the 90’s. With this imagery in mind, we designed women’s athletic wear with sensuous details and neutral colors”.

Available in XXS-XXL, the diverse range of sizes was cruicial to Jacquemus: “It was important for the collection to be accessible, for all bodies, and to be a natural blend of Jacquemus style and Nike performance”. Stand out designs include tennis dresses and skirts made using nike Dri-Fit fabrics, the crop tops with body strap detailing, and of course the two new colourways of Humara trainers.

King of the fashion show, Instagram is often flooded with beautiful images from Jacquemus’ spectacular shows. From Le Coup de Soleil (Spring/Summer 20) which was set in the lavender fields of Provence, to L’Amour (Spring/Summer 21) which was presented in the wheatfields outside Paris, he knows how to break the internet.

This season, which was hailed as his most elevated to date, he included many pieces from the Nike collaboration, from the crop tops to the trainers, as a prequel to the release on his own website after the show.
