The best pictures from The Grand Iftar in Easton, Bristol, as thousands enjoy huge celebration

Thousands of people descended onto St Mark's Road in Easton yesterday evening (May 30) for the largest street party of its kind in the UK.

The Grand Iftar is an annual event to celebrate Eid, the end of the month of fasting for Muslims  during Ramadan.

The annual event grew in size in the reaction to the Manchester Arena terror attack in 2017 and is now attended by thousands of people.

Set up originally by councillors, local traders and shopkeepers on the  Easton  street, the vision was for Bristol be a beacon of hope for the country.

The event's third year proved to be a huge success, with people of all different backgrounds coming together to stand in solidarity and eat together.
