Leeds United rounded off their Australia 2019 tour with victory as Pablo Hernandez's late winner sealed a 2-1 win over West Sydney Wanderers.
The Spanish magician did what he knows best, coming up trumps for the Whites in a crucial moment.
His winner, a fine solo effort, saw him dance around four defenders before unleashing a left-footed rocket into the top corner.
Mateusz Bogusz, who ran first-half proceedings, opened the scoring after only nine minutes, spectacularly riffling Jack Harrison’s cutback into the top corner.
The Whites were pegged back, however, shortly after the interval and missed a host of chances before eventually grabbing the winner.
It was a night to forget for Patrick Bamford who didn’t have his shooting boots on, whilst there will be concern over Kemar Roofe, who limped off before the hour mark.
Overall, it was a good run out for Marcelo Bielsa’s side as they step up their preparation for the start of 2019/20 Championship season in two weeks.
