And just like that… New York Fashion Week comes to a close.
Thankfully the Big Apple played host to some of the best street style, ready to get autumn wardrobe thoughts flying.
Even before Christian Siriano opened the week with an almighty bang, the city had been at the eye of a street style storm. Yes, Sex and The City 2.0 (actual name And Just Like That...) had been filming and putting the pavements back on the map.
As snaps of the fashion week pack traversing New York to reach the runways came through, it has been made clear Carrie Bradshaw’s signature eclecticism is back. From neck ruffs, to pink bows bigger than your back (and even some Fendi baguettes), mixing and matching is the way to go.
Some have been more subdued, but even when opting for darker tones, extra-long hems or oversized collars guarantee a statement. As Carrie would say: go Big or go home.
New York Fashion Week, which ran 8th - 12th September, gave this group plenty of time to dig to the back of their closets and concoct something clashing. Bring on London Fashion Week!
