Upcoming 2026 TV shows

The Night Agent season 3

Release date: February 19, 2026
Available on: Netflix

The Night Agent season 3 will be returning to our small screens back in February. The new season will be another globe-trotting adventure for Gabriel Basso's Peter Sutherland, taking us from New York to Mexico City to Istanbul. We don't want to dive into any season 2 spoilers here, but just know that if you want to catch up ahead of the next outing, the last episode set things up for the story going forward. If you want more details, you can read our The Night Agent season 2 ending explained guide .

Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Season 2

Release date: February 27, 2026
Available on: Apple TV Plus

Monarch: Legacy of Monsters was a smash hit when it was first released in 2023. Now, the second season will be coming our way this February, and fans will have to follow along to see what happens now that the fate of Monarch is hanging in the balance. The new season will take us back to Kong's Skull Island and will also introduce some new monsters from the depths of the sea, exciting times! The upcoming series will release weekly episodes right up until May 1, 2026.

Daredevil: Born Again season 2

Release date: March 24, 2026
Available on: Disney Plus

Daredevil: Born Again is coming back to Disney Plus exactly one year after its debut in 2025, and things are about to get even bloodier than before. Charlie Cox is returning as Matt Murdock alongside Vincent D'Onofrio as Mayor Wilson Fisk and the surprising (and celebrated) addition of Krysten Ritter reprising her role as Jessica Jones for the first time since 2019. The new season has a lot to wrestle with after the Daredevil: Born Again season 1 finale, including violent civil unrest on the streets of Hell's Kitchen and Kingpin declaring martial law in New York.

The new Daredevil: Born Again season 2 trailer teases an upcoming showdown between Fisk's anti-vigilante task force and Daredevil. There's also a surprise glimpse at Foggy Nelson, who was unceremoniously killed at the beginning of the first scene. Might this be a flashback, or something more?

Young Sherlock

Release date: March 4, 2026
Available on: Prime Video

An adaptation of Andrew Lane's Young Sherlock Holmes books, this new TV show is right up our crime-fighting streets. Young Sherlock will introduce us to the future master detective's younger days as we witness his 19-year-old self having to solve a murder case during his Oxford University days. The series will have eight episodes, and it looks like we will be following the events from the novel "Stone Cold". "Stone Cold" is the second-to-last book in the Young Sherlock series, so whether this show gets a season 2 is very much in the air.

One Piece season 2

Release date: March 10, 2026
Available on: Netflix

The live-action take on Monkey D Luffy and the rest of the Straw Hat Pirates is coming back to our small screens in March 2026! As a personal fan of the hit anime (seriously, I've watched all 1,000-plus episodes of One Piece in order), this is a personal highlight on our list. Luffy is still on a mission to become king of the Pirates, and One Piece season 2 will be introducing us to some key members of his crew going forward (Chopper and Nico Robin). Expect more wacky fights, some comedy antics, and plenty of strange and wonder characters, folks.

Scarpetta

Release date: March 11, 2026
Available on: Prime Video

This upcoming Amazon Prime show has a bunch of big names currently assigned to it and we are very excited about it. Scarpetta is based on the book series of the same and follows forensic pathologist, Kay Scarpetta. Throughout the series, we can expect to see her (played by Nicole Kidman) use advanced forensic technology to solve crimes. Jamie Lee Curtis, Ariana DeBose, and Simon Baker are also set to star.

Invincible Season 4

Release date: March 18, 2026
Available on: Prime Video

Invincible is one of our top picks for the best shows on Amazon Prime, so of course, we are laser-focused on the upcoming release of Invincible Season 4. Invincible is an animated superhero show that follows Mark Grayson, the son of the most powerful superhero (or should we say villain?) on the planet. Now, before you all ask, Invincible Season 4 isn't the planned final season of the series, so don't worry about saying goodbye to the show. But that does mean it'll likely end in a cliffhanger, and you'll need to be up to speed with the previous seasons before catching it.

For All Mankind Season 5

Release date: March 27, 2026
Available on: Apple TV

For All Mankind is one of the best sci-fi shows out there, and we've been waiting patiently for its fifth season ever since 2024. Created by Ronald D. Moore, Matt Wolpert, and Ben Nedivi, the show offers us an alternative version of history where the space race never ended. For All Mankind Season 5's synopsis teases that this time we'll see the story "pick up in the years since the Goldilocks asteroid heist" with colonies forming and tension between the people who live on Mars and their former home rising. Season 5 will have 10 episodes for us to dig our teeth into and will be releasing weekly episodes up until May 29, 2026.

Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord

Release date: April 6, 2026
Available on: Disney Plus

It's the Maul the merrier on Disney Plus as the twin-blade-wielding Sith makes his grand return as part of new animated series Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord.

From what we've seen so far, it adds an extra edge to the action, with star Sam Witwer also reprising his role as Maul. There's some added intrigue, too, as he has picked up an apprentice and appears to be gunning for both the Empire and anyone else who might stand in his way. Seeing as how we don't quite know how the villain's story comes to a close in a galaxy far, far away, this could be a dark horse for one of the more compelling Star Wars projects over the next few years.

The Boys season 5

Release date: April 8, 2026
Available on: Prime Video

Everyone's favourite superhero series will be getting its final season come April, and we are super excited about it. The Boys season 5 will revolve around wrapping up the story once and for all, be that with the supe-killing virus that Butcher has, or by Homelander destroying the world, is yet to be seen. While we are sad to see The Boys coming to an end in 2026, we also know that there are still more spin-offs heading our way, so the new season should also lay the groundwork for the upcoming shows that are on the near horizon as well.

The Testaments

Release date: April 8, 2026
Available on: Hulu/Disney Plus

Need more Handmaid's Tale in your life? The Testaments is set to deliver. Set years after the conclusion of the original series, One Battle After Another breakout Chase Infiniti as part of a "new generation" of women suffering in Gilead.

Based on Margaret Atwood's 2019 novel, The Testaments, Ann Dowd keeps some connective tissue between The Handmaid's Tale as the devilish Aunt Lydia, with creator Bruce Miller hoping lightning can strike twice with the series.

Cape Fear

Release date: June 5

Available on: Apple TV

A fresh take on Cape Fear is arriving soon to Apple TV. The show, based on Martin Scorsese's 1991 thriller (which is based on the 1957 John D. MacDonald's novel titled The Executioners), stars Javier Bardem, Amy Adams, and Patrick Wilson.

Bardem plays Max Cady, a killer who is planning revenge against the attorneys who sent him to prison: Wilson's Tom and Adams' Anna.

Sugar season 2

Release date: June 19, 2026
Available on: Apple TV

Fresh off one of the more mind-bending plot twists in recent years, Colin Farrell's John Sugar is back on the case for a second season that pretty much demands to be watched once you know about that character reveal.

Sugar season 2 sees John "tracking the troubled older brother of an up-and-coming local boxer as his search for his beloved missing sister continues"

The synopsis continues, "As the investigation expands into a city-wide conspiracy with sinister intentions, Sugar must reckon with himself to answer the question – how far will he go to do what’s right?"

Lucky

Release date: July 15

Available on: Apple TV

Lucky is a limited series hailing from Apple TV, which stars Anya Taylor-Joy in her first television role since 2020's Netflix hit The Queen's Gambit.

"When a multi-million-dollar heist goes sideways, con artist Lucky is forced to go on the run. Pursued by both the FBI and a ruthless crime boss, Lucky must fight for her life – and a way out," reads the synopsis. The first, action-packed trailer has already been released.

Lanterns

(Image credit: John P. Johnson/HBO Max)

Release date: Late summer/early fall 2026
Available on: HBO Max

The next small-screen installment in James Gunn's DCU Chapter One is Lanterns. The new series will follow veteran member of intergalactic peacekeeping organization the Green Lantern Corps Hal Jordan (Kyle Chandler) as he trains up new recruit John Stewart (Aaron Pierre) while they investigate a murder in Nebraska. Gunn has previously compared the show to True Detective and The Leftovers showrunner Damon Lindelof is on board as co-creator, so we're expecting big things.

The show was initially rumored to premiere in the first few months of 2026, but HBO surprised fans by officially announcing the later release window back in November. With Supergirl geared up to hero-land in cinemas on June 26, comic book lovers have now been left wondering whether it'll arrive before or after we catch up with Superman's wild cousin Kara Zor-El.

VisionQuest

Release date: TBC 2026
Available on: Disney Plus

It's been a long time coming, considering that VisionQuest was announced to be in development all the way back in 2022, but we finally know that the upcoming Marvel show will be with us sometime in late 2026. Created by Terry Matalas, the upcoming series focuses on the superpowered android and former Avenger known as Vision; however, reports on the portnetail story of the show indicate that he could technically be "White Vision" now. In classic Marvel fashion, plot details are being kept secret at the moment, so keep your eye on this page for more updates.

Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man season 2

Release date: TBC 2026
Available on: Disney Plus

If you love animation and superheroes as much as we do, chances are you are excited for the upcoming release of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man season 2 as well. Set in an alternate timeline to the rest of the MCU movies and shows that have Spidey in them, this series is an origin story following a Peter Parker who gets his abilities through a temporal paradox thanks to Doctor Stranger's antics. The style of the first season blew us away, and we can't wait to see what the next outing brings us.

House of the Dragon season 3

Release date: TBC 2026
Available on: HBO Max

That's right, another upcoming Game of Thrones show is releasing in 2026, and it also just so happens to be the next installment of one of the best HBO Max shows on streaming right now as well. House of the Dragon season 3 may not have a release date yet, but since it has officially wrapped filming and likely won't want to clash with A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, we are predicting we will see it sometime around June. That's just speculation on our part, but what we do know is that the Targaryens are still fighting, and that their upcoming antics will be leading us to the events of the already confirmed House of the Dragon season 4.
