It’s time for another shot at a new 5 star, this time Sangonomiya Kokomi, the resistance leader who was ultimately victorious over the Raiden Shogun and Vision Hunt Decree thanks to our help in the last story quest. Today, her story continues, and you can pull her from a new banner.
Kokomi is a 5 star hydro catalyst-user, and a healer, the first new 5 star healer in quite some time. That may mean she proves to be less popular than others, as avid players may have a few copies of 5 star healers like Jean and Qiqi already, but we’ll see how she does.
So, if you are going for her, here are the best Kokomi builds you can find right now.
Artifacts
Heart of Depth (Peak Of Vindagnyr) – 2 piece: Hydro DMG Bonus +15%, 4 piece: After using Elemental Skill, increases Normal Attack and Charged Attack DMG by 30% for 15s.
Maiden Beloved (Valley Of Remembrance) – 2 piece: Increases Healing done by 15%, 4 piece: For 10 seconds after casting an Elemental Skill or Burst, Teammates receive +20% additional healing
These are going to be the main two, and you can mix and match with two pieces of Heart of Depth and two pieces of Maiden Beloved. You can also try Heart of Depth with two pieces of Tenacity of the Millelith, which gives out bonus HP.
Catalysts
Everlasting Moonglow (5 star) - Healing Bonus increased by 10% Normal Attack DMG is increased by 1% of the Max HP of the character equiping this weapon. For 12s after using an Elemental Burst, Normal Attacks that hit opponents will restore 0.6 Energy. Energy can be restored this way once every 0.1s.
Prototype Amber (4 star) - Using an Elemental Burst regenerates 4 Energy every 2s for 6s. All party members will regenerate 4% HP every 2s for this duration.
Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers (3 star) - When switching characters, the new character taking the field has their ATK increased by 24% for 10s. This effect only occurs every 20s.
You may recognize that 3 star Dragon Slayers catalyst as something a lot of people use on Barbara when she’s their main healer, as all you need is that massive ATK bonus to make it worthwhile. Of course the best option is obviously going to be the 5 star catalyst specifically designed for Kokomi, which players perfectly into her kit. If you can afford it, that is. Otherwise, Prototype Amber is a good pick, and you can actually craft it.
Warning: One important note about Kokomi, she has a hugely negative crit rate, so on your artifacts and weapons, you want to have zero crit as it will be a totally wasted stat and give you absolutely no benefit. Keep that in mind as you decide what to upgrade for her.
