The return of outdoor dining allowed thousands of people across Ireland to suffer from a feeling they hadn't had in a long time - the hangover.
They will have woken up with a heavy head, a mouth which feels like sandpaper and a dodgy stomach after mixing shots, pints and cocktails - as well as the potential for a late-night snack.
But believe it or not, there are a few things that you can do to stave off the worst symptoms.
The biggest one is relating to what food you put into your body before, during and after your night out.
Before
Everyone knows the perils of drinking on an empty stomach - you desperately need soakage.
Dairy is the key here, it's excellent for lining your insides.
So having something like scrambled eggs or yoghurt alongside something like a banana will serve you well.
Foods high in protein and healthy fats, like salmon, can help slow alcohol absorption down and the banana will help replace potassium - something which will help you in the aftermath.
During
In terms of during the night, it may sound boring but mix in pints of water with every second or third drink and your brain and body will thank you in the morning.
The morning after
You're going to want to go straight for a coffee - but that'll cause more damage long term by dehydrating you.
Instead, opt for a sugary rehydration drink like a Lucozade or Red Bull for sipping at throughout the day will clear the head.
If you can’t stomach the idea of food, at least try.
Even a bowl of cereal with a heap of vitamins and iron will boost your energy levels.
Ideally, a piece of wholemeal toast with a scrambled or poached egg will reward your body for all the work it did with that alcohol.
But look, no one will blame you for going for the chicken fillet roll with the fizzy drink.
