Feel like getting crafty this weekend? Canary Wharf is moving its Midsummer festival online for the first time, beginning at 9am on Saturday. The community event features bunting-making masterclasses and homemade tie dye sessions, as well as interactive dance sessions and plenty more besides.
Head to one of London's open attractions

Things are beginning to open up across the capital, meaning Londoners can head for a socially distanced day out. Kew Gardens, London Zoo, Hampton Court Palace gardens, and a selection of National Trust properties have all reopened their doors, meaning some of the most idyllic spots in the capital are ready to be explored once again – read our full guide here.
Tune in for Love Record Stores

Set to coincide with what should have been Record Store Day, this 24-hour stream on Saturday will look to raise money for independent vinyl shops currently struggling through the pandemic. Watch the National Theatre at Home series

The National Theatre has dug into its archives to share plays for free with the public, which go live from Thursday at 7pm each week and on demand afterwards. This week it’s the turn of Small Island – one of the most powerful shows of recent years, charting the Windrush generation’s post-war arrival in this country.
Test your knowledge with The Inquizition
The Inquizition are the quizmasters usually behind the questions at dozens of pubs in London, with more than 40 eggheads getting together to create a weekly trivia test. The organisation is going online during lockdown, instead hosting its quiz online every Sunday until July 12. There are no prizes but it is free, so head over at 8pm to its Facebook page and tune into the live stream to get involved.
Enjoy Action All Areas: Greenpeace virtual festival

Environmental charity Greenpeace is usually a big presence at UK music festivals — especially Glastonbury, where it hosts its own area. This year, it’s moving things online with a three-day festival, which continues on Friday and Saturday. Tim Burgess, Georgia, Arlo Parks and Rodrigo y Gabriela are among those on the line-up.
Sweat it out with the Digme Fitness Big Weekender
Digme Fitness is launching its first ever virtual Big Weekender, welcoming people to take part in a range of events across Saturday and Sunday. Head over for Yoga, HIIT or Cycle workouts, as well as mediation and virtual ‘sound baths’. It’s a chance to try something new and feel good this weekend.
