The future of the federal tax credits, which have allowed insane lease and financing offers, looks uncertain as the U.S. House has already voted in favor of killing the tax credits. Now its fate rests with the Senate. So we're not sure how much longer they'll stick around. That's why experts say right now is the best time to snatch an existing deal and drive home an EV or a PHEV if you've been on the fence.
"The rapidly changing nature of President Trump’s proposed tariffs is making it difficult to clearly assess the total impact on the auto sector," Jessica Caldwell, Edmunds' head of insights, told InsideEVs. "For consumers looking to play it safe, purchasing sooner rather than later may be the best way to avoid potential price hikes," she added. This applies to both leasing and financing.
June 2025 brings many discounts, bonuses, cash-back incentives and conquest deals, where switching from a rival brand can mean even bigger savings. But not every June EV lease or finance deal is equally appealing. We've still included all of them for comparison anyway, and we'll update this list monthly. You will find the original source links for each brand at the top of every section.
Note that the deals vary substantially by region. Most prices here use a New York City zip code, so you could find cheaper deals elsewhere. If you find a model in your neighborhood, we recommend checking your local dealer's website for the most accurate pricing. Visit multiple dealers to get the best quote in your area.
New EV Deals In June 2025
The U.S. has imposed 25% tariffs on foreign car imports and vehicle parts. But some tariff relief is now in place, like reimbursements on a portion of foreign parts on U.S.-made vehicles. As automakers adjust their pricing strategies, we're not seeing any notable effects from this policy yet on lease and financing offers, which are mainly enabled by the federal tax credit.
The rear-wheel-drive Tesla Model Y is now available to lease. Both RWD and AWD versions can now be leased with just a $1,000 downpayment, although, the lease starts at a steep $459 per month for 36 months. The Cybertruck is now available with 0% APR if you buy the Full-Self Driving (Supervised) software at $8,000. But the best Tesla deal is on the Model 3, which has $0 downpayment.
Tesla aside, the Chevy Equinox EV has excellent offers this month, with a low monthly lease price, 0% APR and discounts for Costco members. Some luxury EVs have become more expensive, especially those from Mercedes and Volvo—the EQS and EX90 are slightly more expensive, with added costs to their lease or downpayments, which might be an impact of tariffs driving prices up.
That said, some of the strongest offers are still in place. Lucid and Polestar are continuing to offer aggressive discounts to Tesla owners and also to those looking to switch from other brands. The most attractive lease deals are still on the Nissan Ariya, Toyota bZ4x, Chevy Equinox EV, Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 6 and the Kia Niro EV.
As a reminder, all of the deals below are subject to dealer participation.
Also a note on tax credits. When you lease a new car, the tax credit goes to the lender and is often applied against the lease to offer the buyer a discount. The tax credit also applies to all EVs regardless of where the car and its battery materials come from if you lease, which isn't true if you buy. That means leasing can be the smart move on cars like the Ioniq 6, which doesn't get the credit if you buy it outright because it's manufactured in South Korea. Just be sure to go over all the details related to the tax credit before signing any paperwork.
Remember that if you choose to lease instead of buy, you won't have to worry about whether or not your personal tax situation allows you to take advantage of the credit. Also, note that the best deals also typically apply to individuals with excellent credit ratings. Moreover, the best manufacturer-sponsored incentives are often reserved for returning lessees or people who currently drive competitor products.

The honeymoon phase of EV offers may be ending soon. The Trump administration could repeal the $7,500 consumer tax credit that encouraged EV adoption up until now. Even though repealing that isn't straightforward, as an act of Congress would be required, uncertainty looms over the future of the tax credits that have made the above offers so enticing. That's why right now might be your best shot at snatching away a great deal on an EV before they potentially vanish with Trump in office, which could make most of the cars listed here more expensive.
That said, there are likely additional incentives out there, specific to certain regions or dealerships (if the brand has dealerships). You just have to do your homework. Also, keep in mind that used EVs are available with reasonable deals as well and that the market is finally seeing a notable drop in prices. There's even a $4,000 point-of-sale federal incentive that your used EV may qualify for. Income restrictions apply.
