When compared to its predecessor, it’s undeniable that EA FC 25 upped the numbers when the subject is player SBCs, with multiple new additions dropping by weekly from release to now.
But even if most players can agree that the large majority of them were unwise investments, to say the least, others proved to be anything but. So you can take a trip down memory lane or see if any of your star players made it, here are the best player SBCs released in EA FC 25 Ultimate Team during the game’s lifetime.

8. Flashback Luis Suárez
A card still talked about, Flashback Luis Suárez is the definition of a cheap beast, and allowed players to get an arguably top-tier striker for only 150K. He also managed to perform way above his rating and stay relevant even months following its debut, the latter made possible via the card’s evolution availability and great Finesse Shot+/5-star Weak Foot combo.
7. TOTY Gareth Bale
If you were an active player going for those welcome perfect Champions runs during March/April, you were almost guaranteed to meet TOTY Gareth Bale on the pitch, as the card had in its multiple positions, 98 PAC, and Rapid+ combo, a combination sure to leave most markers in the dust on release. To add to that, his 5☆ SM and 93 DRI made Bale the perfect card for making defenders look foolish, although its extratosferic price demanded a lot of grind.
6. TOTY Iker Casillas
The second among the March 2025 SBCs to make it to our list, TOTY Iker Casillas has been a premier pick since his debut and a dominant force during the first half of FC 25‘s lifespan. The reason? His ability to make Courtois’ 2018 World Cup save versus Brazil a common occurrence and be, in many cases, your savior when looking to close off a 15-0.
5. Flashback Vanja Milinković-Savić
By far the best SBC player released during the underwhelming Shapeshifters promo, his top-tier selection of defensive PlayStyled+ and Gullit-like stats made Flashback Milinković-Savić just a bit of a nightmare in FC 25 as he was during his heyday on FIFA 23. His low price range also made the card easily acquirable for even casual players looking for an end-game CB or a complete CDM.
4. Futties Vitinha
Although fairly expensive even by today’s standards, Futties Vitinha clinches a spot in our list by being, in my view, the most complete non-Icon midfielder to ever debut as an FC 25 SBC. I know that’s a strong statement to make, but believe me, no matter if you are looking to use him as a box-to-box threat or a key passer, the PSG star will have you covered via his impeccable dribbling, lethal low-driven shots, and pairing of both Tiki Taka and Anticipate+.
3. Flashback Cristiano Ronaldo
The worst nightmare to all who happen to be returning to FC during the tail end of April, Flashback Cristiano Ronaldo is — much like the man himself — a machine, capable of leaving defenders in the dust and scoring from anywhere via his 5☆ SM/WF combo. Like Suárez, the card also aged extremely well and became known in the late game via its ability to rival CR7’s future cards when paired with the right evolution path.
2. Dreamchasers Ruud Gullit
EA FC 25‘s best midfielder from his arrival to the debut of his 99-OVR Futties variant and another testament to The Black Tulip’s dominance within multiple titles, Dreamchasers Ruud Gullit can only be described as a menace. Did you ever imagine what a 6-foot player boasting a pace on par with your fastest wingers, a presence matching that of your top CBs, and a shot just as good as your main strikers would look like? Well, if you ever faced or used Gullit, there’s no need to.
1. FUT Immortals Thierry Henry
The game’s quintessential SBC, FUT Immortals Thierry Henry allowed EA FC 25 players to get a card on par with its meta picks for less than half the price, making it available for both hardcore and casuals alike. But its availability was not the best part about it, as Henry could also be used for many premier evolutions at the time, with a few being capable of giving him the dreamed Low Driven and Finesse Shot+ combo. C’mon, you can’t tell me he was never a part of your starting 11.
