If you're like most people, you probably overindulged over the festive period and your bank account is now paying the price.

Christmas can be a very expensive time of year which can leave you a little strapped for cash in January, but that doesn't mean you have to be a hermit for the entire month.

A wide range of restaurants across Bristol all have offers and deals running throughout January to lure us out of the house, with some places offering a particularly tempting 50 per cent off food.

The Florist

From January, The Florist will be have a number of Veganuary-inspired food and drink offers, wellbeing events and masterclasses.

In support of Veganuary, visitors are invited to enjoy a plant-based lifestyle from a selection of vegan dishes, new smoothies and vegan lattes.

The offer launches on January 7 and runs until January 31.

YO! Sushi

Offer: 1/3 off coloured plates and selection of hot dishes

Diners at YO! Sushi can sink their teeth and chopsticks into a cracking discount to ease the January blues.

Customers will be able to receive 1/3 off YO!’s coloured plates and selection of hot dishes.

From tender Beef Tataki and melt in the mouth Popcorn Shrimp to Tofu Katsu Curry and irresistible Glazed Aubergine Nigiri, there is something for everyone to try.

The offer runs from January 6 until January 31, excluding Saturdays and Sundays.

Pata Negra

Tapas lovers will want to head to Pata Negra on Clare Street throughout January, with a 3 for 2 deal on all small plates.

Piccolino

Anyone who has had one of Bambalan's Babs before will tell you just how delicious they are.

Served on flatbread with slaw and chilli sauce, options include pork and beef meatballs, spiced charcoal roasted shoulder of lamb, halloumi and roast squash and more.

Considering they come in at around £10 on average, it's an absolute bargain when you apply the 50% off.

Bill's

Offer: Two new vegan desserts for just £5 each when you buy a vegan main course.

Bill’s has announced the return of its British Veganuary menu in January.

New additions for starters include wild mushroom soup with garlic croutons and chives and miso aubergine fritters with smoked chilli and soy dip topped with mixed seeds.

Main dishes include mushroom and tarragon suet pudding with roasted mushroom, parsley and white bean cassoulet and Bill’s beetroot steak with a portion of fiery tiger fries, bearnaise mayo and pea shoots. 

There are also two new vegan desserts which can be purchased for just £5 when you buy a vegan main course.

The Ox

Deal: 40% off at The Ox's Corn Street restaurant between 12pm - 2.30pm and 5pm - 7pm, Monday to Thursday

Anyone who has tried one of The Ox's legendary steaks will tell you just how good they are.

Alongside the range of sumptuous range of steaks, including the 8oz Bavette d'aloyau and 30oz T-Bone, there's also a number of other delicious mains such as the glazed pork cheeks with potato gratin and a burger of the highest quality.

For just £3 you can pick up a mini breakfast burrito and coffee to go, or for those who need a more substantial brekkie there's the larger burrito for £4.95 with a coffee for just £1 extra.

The mini deal runs on weekdays until 11am and the full brekkie deal is available until 11am on weekdays and 12pm on Saturdays.
