Best tablet deals for August 2025, from Samsung, Amazon and more

Whether you want a cheap tablet to browse the news over breakfast, a child-friendly gadget to keep the kids entertained, or a more powerful Samsung, Apple or Microsoft tablet to help you stay productive on the go, there are plenty of discounts on top models out there.

If you want a tablet to complement your other Apple devices, we’ve rounded up the best iPad deals this month, including offers on the iPad Pro, iPad Mini and more. However, it’s worth remembering that Apple devices aren’t the only option. Lenovo, Samsung and Microsoft all offer a wide range of tablets, running on Windows or Android software. If you don’t own any Apple tech and aren’t already in the company’s ecosystem, looking at an alternative brand can potentially save you lots of money.

When it comes to tech, it also goes without saying that you can make big savings by shopping refurbished. Whilst on the lookout for the best tablet deals, we’ve seen that that you can save hundreds by opting for a refurbished model. Not to mention, shopping refurbished allows you to reduce your production of electronic waste.

If you are thinking of buying a refurbished tablet, make sure you pick a reputable retailer, check reviews and, as always, avoid deals that seem too good to be true. When you buy secondhand, you still have the right for items that you’ve bought to come as they were described. If there’s an undisclosed fault, you can send your tablet back and request a full refund. We’d also recommend that you pay for purchases over £100 with a credit card, so that you’re protected if things go wrong.

Whatever style you’re looking for, our round-up of the best tablet deals can help you save money and find the device that’s right for you.

Why you can trust us to find the best tablet deals

As our tech writer at Indybest, with more than a decade of experience in the industry, I know a great tablet deal when I spot one. Alongside our expert team of deal hunters, I’m constantly scouring the internet for offers on the best tablets that we’ve tried and tested, and from brands we know and trust. We track the best available prices for Apple’s iPad range – which remains the most popular tablet around – as well as deep discounts on tablets from top brands such as Samsung, Microsoft and Amazon.

The best tablet deals for August 2025 in the UK are

Samsung Galaxy Tab S10+: Was £999, now £499.98, OnBuy.com

(Samsung)

Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S10+ tablet gives Apple a run for its money, with a smooth 12.4in OLED display and amazing new AI features such as transcription and translation. In my review, where I named it the best Samsung tablet, I praised its “all-round premium build quality that feels tough”, as well as its “blistering fast performance even when running multiple apps side by side”. It’s certainly not cheap, so it’s worth considering while it’s available at just under half its usual price at OnBuy.

Lenovo tab plus: Was £349, now £219, Very.co.uk

(Very)

We’ve been impressed by Lenovo’s laptops in the past, but if you’ve been intrigued by its tablet offerings, the tab plus has £130 off at the moment. If you’re planning on taking a tablet on your next trip away, this one’s water and dust resistant. Plus, according to Lenovo, you can get around 12 hours of streaming on a single charge and can charge to a full battery in 90 minutes.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A9: Was £169, now £104.99, Amazon.co.uk

(Samsung)

Currently on sale for 38 per cent off, Samsung’s budget-friendly A-series impressed us with its bright display and premium-feeling metal frame. It runs on a decently powerful chip, and, while you get less storage and RAM than you would in more-expensive tablets, performance never feels sluggish. The design features battery life up to 10 hours and a Dolby Atmos sound system, as well as front and back cameras for taking calls and capturing memories.

Amazon Fire 7 kids tablet: Was £124.99, now £59.99, Amazon.co.uk

(Amazon)

If you want to save on a kids' tablet, it’s worth checking out Amazon’s Fire 7 tablet from 2022. It has less internal memory than the newer Fire HD 8, but this can be increased to 1TB with a microSD card. Plus, it comes with a year’s subscription to Amazon Kids+, which will give kids access to plenty of games, videos and books to keep them entertained during the summer holidays. Better still, it’s currently on sale at half price, which is the lowest price we’ve seen it on Amazon.

Apple iPad Pro 13in, M4: Was £1,046, now £935.99, OnBuy.co.uk

(Apple)

The iPad Pro 13in won the accolade of best on test in our review of the best tablets. Our tech writer called it “leagues ahead of its already-impressive predecessor”. It’s the thinnest Apple product ever made, and feels “remarkably light and portable”, they praised. Expensive, yes, but this deal will shave more than £100 off the price.
