The real Black Friday is finally here. Not Black November. Not Black Friday Week. The real deal that only happens on the final Friday of November.

A day where retail giants assemble and push deals on everything from affordable wireless earbuds to audiophile-level stereo amplifiers.

And while a lot of it is, as one of you, our lovely reviewers said, “tat that’s not worth your time or attention, no matter how cheap it is”, there are some diamonds in the rough to be found – if you have the time and patience to look.

And that’s exactly what the team of audio experts are doing right now. Our team of reviewers and seasoned audio deals hunters are on hand, updating this live hub with all the best hi-fi deals they spotted.

Every deal, unless explicitly stated otherwise, is on a product we’ve fully reviewed and price checked. So you know it's an actual discount on a product we know performs well in the real world.

If you have any questions about any of the deals or products we’re recommending in this hub, jump over to our Black Friday 2025 Live Q&A, where you can chat directly with our experts. Check out the current best hi-fi deals below.

Editor's pick: my top 5 hi-fi deals this Black Friday

Meet the hi-fi team running this live page

Hello, Black Friday shoppers! Hi-fi and audio editor Kash Kabir here, where my fellow What Hi-Fi? reviewers and I will be highlighting our favourite deals on hi-fi products we've spotted as the annual sales event is underway.

We're just focusing on pure hi-fi here: from floorstanders and integrated amplifiers and phono stages to music streamers, all-in-one systems and, of course, turntables.

Black Friday itself is technically tomorrow (28th November), but everyone has started unleashing discounts early, so don't wait too long if you want to nab a great new hi-fi component with a big saving – especially as Black Friday/Cyber Monday ends on Monday 1st December. Happy shopping!

The superb Wharfedale Diamond 12.1 speakers drop in price – save £70!

Wharfedale's Diamond 12.1 speakers have been firm favourites of ours for years, with the five-star models offering a wonderful blend of good build quality, unfussy partnering nature and a full-bodied, detailed, expansive and refined sound – something that's quite rare to find at this budget price!

These speakers have also nabbed a 2024 What Hi-Fi? Award win, and a new Diamond 12i range was only just announced last week as a successor to this established, well-regarded speaker line-up.

This means, however, that the excellent Diamond 12.1 have plunged in price – you can save a sizeable £70 off their full price and snap them up for just £179 at Richer Sounds. If you're after truly affordable speakers or looking to set up your first hi-fi system, these are the ones we highly recommend.

Quick: your last chance to buy the stunning Arcam A5 at a ridiculous lowest-ever price

The former Award-winning Arcam A5 amp has recently been supplanted by the excellent (and newly crowned 2025 Award winner) Arcam A5+, so it seems as though retailers are clearing out the last stock before the first-gen amp shuffles off to enjoy a well-earned retirement.

With stocks potentially low, prices are also plummeting. The A5 has fallen to a mere £499 at Richer Sounds, down from its original £749, making this one of Black Friday's best-ever hi-fi deals.

The A5 may be heading out to pasture, but it's still a superb amplifier, and at this price, you really can't lose when it comes to a £250 saving on a fantastic all-rounder.

These Q Acoustics towers were our 2024 Product of the Year – now they're down to their lowest price

The Q Acoustics 5050 weren't just Award-winners last year, they were our flippin' Product of the Year. That makes them the best of the best in the floorstanding category for 2024, and easily up there with the best floorstanding speakers we've tested in the last few years.

Naturally, new contenders have come along to scoop gongs of their own in 2025, but that doesn't mean the 5050 aren't suddenly worth your consideration. Quite the opposite: with £180 off their RRP at Richer Sounds, Sevenoaks and Peter Tyson, they're well worth your consideration as they drop to £1119 in place of their usual £1299 tag. That, as far as we can tell, is the lowest they've ever been.

Save over £1000?! This JBL amplifier deal is NOT a typo!

We don't need to hype certain deals up. The JBL SA550 Classic is a very solid stereo amplifier, and now that its price has plummeted from £1749 to an unbelievably low £599 at Peter Tyson, we feel that we don't need to do much to persuade you to check it out. That's a gigantic saving of over £1000!

The SA550 Classic may have gotten four stars at full price, but don't let that deter you – this massive saving increases its sound-per-pound value. During testing, we found it delivered "music with enough energy to communicate the vibe and feeling of any track sent its way".

WiiM's five-star music streamer drops by a cool £70 – but it won't last forever

Good news, budget hi-fi fans! The WiiM Ultra has dropped from £349 to just £279 at Amazon, Richer Sounds, Peter Tyson and Sevenoaks, a spicy saving of £70 on a five-star network player.

For delivering excellent sound in a lovely package, all for a very modest price, the Ultra is right up there with the best of them. That said, this saving won't last forever, as WiiM's versatile music streamer only tends to be discounted during major sales events such as Amazon Prime Day or Black Friday, so if you want to take advantage of this deal, now is the time to strike.

We're on a Mission this Black Friday - you should be too!

We were hoping this Black Friday deal would come around again this year, and our prayers have been answered. Being half-width makes it more flexible and versatile than traditional designs, but the Mission 778X stereo amplifier is more than just a good-looker.

It sounds great too, with an awesome level of insight and a penchant for making voices sound superb thanks to its excellent midrange and top-end performance. Add a solid spec list and a consistent sound across all connections, and you have a solid deal that's worth shouting about.

The best DAC upgrade: the superb Chord Mojo 2 is now only £249

Chord Electronics' Mojo 2 DAC is one of our most oft-recommended products, with the portable unit boosting your desktop and headphones-based listening to such an astonishing degree – it's a multiple Award winner and a firm fixture in our best DACs list. The Mojo 2 sounds beautifully detailed and transparent, is tremendously agile and precise with rhythms, and delivers an open, musical sound like no other.

This dinky device has just dropped to its lowest-ever price of £249 at Peter Tyson, and none of its rivals can come near its quality. Yes, the buttons can be a little convoluted, but we'll put up with it for just how good it sounds. Plug in some great wired cans, and enjoy the Mojo's magic.

ADVICE: try this Black Friday hack to get the lowest price on five-star products

One of our regular contributors, Joe Svetlik, has a quick and simple advice for anyone hunting for hi-fi and audio deals this week, especially if you want to find the lowest price.

He says: "All you have to do is check the price of each colour variant. It will only take a few seconds, even for products with loads of different finishes, and it could save you an absolute packet."

We've been doing this across the Black Friday season for every deal, as sometimes a particular finish will be £10 or £50 cheaper than another, which is very handy if you're on a tight budget. We've even found that the difference in price between some colourways to be as huge as £700!

Bag a bargain on this budget Cambridge Audio duo

Cambridge Audio is gifting us with a whole bunch of Black Friday deals on plenty of great hi-fi. The Award-winning MXN10 streamer, the Evo One all-in-one music system and the CXA81 MkII amp are all enjoying discounts, but it's the budget AX range that has the more affordable gems.

The five-star AXA35 amplifier can be snapped up for just £299 at Richer Sounds, while its matching AXC35 CD player is also yours for the same price. That's a £100 total reduction in price from products that were already entry-level to begin with!

If you're looking to set up your first hi-fi system with dependable, sleek-looking products with respectable hi-fi heritage that also sound enjoyable, then this duo is worth checking out.

Naim's special edition Nait 50 integrated has plummetted in price to just £999!

Here's a secret: I haven't stopped thinking about the Naim Nait 50 amp – an homage to the iconic Nait 1 integrated made to celebrate Naim's 50th anniversary – ever since I first laid eyes on it in 2023. I loved using it and hearing it when we got a sample in our test rooms, and this charming, super fun amp has stayed in my mind for two years.

I finally took the plunge and bought it this year. The main issue? As a limited edition model, it originally cost a hefty £2699. While the price did come down to £1199 earlier this year, it has absolutely nosedived to an astonishingly low £999 right now. If you have been eyeing up this charming retro amp, don't hesitate anymore – I use this amp nearly every day and I absolutely adore its design, its upgraded internals and build, and its hugely energetic, punchy, clear and lively character. It's simply a lot of fun, with such a strong heritage behind it.

Only 1973 units of this model were made, and I think that, at this lowest-ever price, stocks will fly off the shelves. So don't wait too long!

Our editor only has eyes for one set of wireless earbuds during Black Friday

If you’re a serious music fan looking for a new set of wireless earbuds, then our editor would fully recommend looking at the current deal Amazon’s offering on the five-star, Award-winning Technics EAH-AZ100.

The earbuds have had an atypical discount, shedding £49 off their regular £259 price tag, letting you pick them up on Amazon for £209.99.

Yes, that means they are still more expensive than most of their rivals, including the five-star Bose Quiet Comfort Earbuds, which are currently selling for £129 and Sony WF-1000XM5, which are retailing for £179 on Amazon, but we think they’re worth it.

Why? Because for those who favour a transparent, controlled, spacious sound that gives every part of the frequency range space to shine, they’re the best option right now. That’s why we gave them a What Hi-Fi? Award earlier this month.

As we said in our review: “It’s the elevated performance that combines the Technics’ strengths of clarity, detail and spaciousness with the punch, presence and dynamic impact we were hoping for that clinches the deal.”

Our only word of caution is to act fast if you want them. We’ve only seen the Technics drop in price this much once before, and that was only for a couple of days. We can’t see them staying at this price for long, as a result.

Four fantastic deals on Wharfdale standmounts

If you’re looking to get some super affordable, but great-sounding speakers over Black Friday, right now, there’s one big name in the game, and that’s Wharfdale.

There are currently solid savings to be had on not one, but four, of the firm’s iconic and ongoing diamond series speakers.

With a veritable smorgasbord of sub £200 options to choose from, including several former What Hi-Fi? Award winners, the deals are so good, our hi-fi and audio editor, Kashfia Kabir even penned a piece personally recommending them to newbies and bargain hunters.

So if you’re on the hunt for a bargain price pair of bookshelf speakers, then look no further – at least one of these stellar pairs from Wharfdale should meet your needs!

Three deals, hand-picked by our editors

With Black Friday proper on the go, our team of expert editors have each picked one top deal, they think is a cut above the rest.

Starting us off is a rare deal on the Award-winning Technics AAH-AZ100, which you can pick up for £209 on Amazon (save £49).

Our editor in chief, Alastair Stevenson, picked them for a couple of reasons. First, because they don’t get discounted often. They’ve only gone down this low once before, at the start of November. Second, because they sound sublime, offering you a transparent, spacious sonic profile that will delight serious music fans.

Second, there is a stellar £2000 saving on the Sony VPL‑XW5000ES, which is available for £3999 at Richer Sounds. Recommended by TV and AV editor, Tom Parsons, this is a great unit that offers serious movie fans a compelling “proper” home cinema projector. For your money, you’ll get a native 4K long throw capable of dazzling HDR performance.

Finally, there’s hi-fi and audio editor, Kashfia Kabir’s recommendation: the Arcam A5. Though the unit has since been dethroned by its successor, the A5+ with Richer Sounds' current discount, it’s a stellar option for music fans on a budget. For just £499 (save £250), you’ll be treated to a versatile, well-made stereo amp capable of excellent audio quality when matched well.

The Wharfedale Diamond 12.3 drop from £499 to £399

Happy Black Friday proper! What better way to celebrate than with a Wharfedale Diamond 12.3 floorstanding speaker deal? A fine aperitif, if nothing else.

Originally £499 but now just £399 at Richer Sounds, the Award-winning towers are a superb pick for anyone looking to build a decent, affordable hi-fi system in the Black Friday sales. Thanks to their articulate, expressive and dynamically engaging performance, not to mention lovely build and reasonably compact dimensions, the current Award-winners are a cracking buy.

JBL's funky Authentics 300 wireless speaker sinks from £380 to £229

Wireless speakers don't get much better looking than this. If you like the whole retro revival (and who doesn't?), the JBL Authentics 300 will be right up your street. It's big and bold, sure, but it's hard not to be suckered in by those debonair looks.

JBL's handsome beast has also crashed to its lowest-ever price of £229 at Amazon and Richer Sounds, a massive £151 discount from its usual £380 RRP which goes beyond every previous deal we've tracked for it so far. Happy days!

A Black Friday Naim drop

Anyone looking for premium hi-fi deals this Black Friday might have spotted a few tasty Naim savings out there. Take this whopping £1000 off the five-star ND5 XS 2 at Peter Tyson. It was £1799 just a couple of days ago, but it looks like there's a final push by some retailers to offload its remaining stock.

And this is a great hi-fi saving we can really get behind. Sure it's approaching the end of its life, but there's plenty of legs in this product and we think it could make a tidy little system when partnered with either the matching Naim Nait XS 3 stereo amplifier (currently down from £2499 to £1499 at Peter Tyson) or the half-width Naim Nait 50 which is down from a hefty £2699 to just £999, again, at Peter Tyson.

If you're not concerned about the products matching aesthetically, we think the Nait 50 would be the better bet from a sound quality point of view, especially given it's £500 cheaper than the Nait XS 3.

Five-star Pro-Ject turntable deal!

One of our favourite mid-priced turntables is enjoying a £60 saving on all finishes! The Pro-Ject Debut Evo 2 is a lovely-looking turntable, coming in multiple sleek finishes and delivering a fluid, detailed, open sound that is easy on the ears.

It's a great step-up turntable and worth every penny.

Looking for affordable hi-fi deals? Here are my top 5 picks

Good evening, shoppers! Plenty of you (in the UK, at least) will be leaving work this fine Friday, and that means you might finally have some time to start perusing the Black Friday sales.

If you're after affordable hi-fi separates, then I've got a handful of deals for you. I recently put together a system with my favourite affordable kit – most of which are enjoying Black Friday deals, making them even more wallet-friendly than before.

This CD and vinyl system consists of a Cambridge Audio amplifier and matching CD player, Pro-Ject's excellent entry-level turntable, and a pair of Elac's brilliant budget speakers. Altogether, it came to a total of £1000 – not bad, right?

You can check out the full system and how they all work together here: I’ve picked my favourite affordable hi-fi components to create a Black Friday hi-fi system for vinyl and CDs

The only thing missing was a music streamer, but the one deal I've been waiting for has finally dropped. The superb WiiM Pro Plus streamer (which I use at home!) is now down to £169 at Peter Tyson, Richer Sounds, Amazon and Sevenoaks. Add that in, and the whole system costs £1175 – with a total saving of £220.

Of course, you don't have to buy the whole system; any one of these components is a great individual buy if you're looking to upgrade part of your system or need to plug a missing gap.

Here are my top 5 affordable hi-fi picks below:

This amazing, portable Chord DAC is now just £249 – a superb sonic boost

Chord's portable, desktop-friendly Mojo 2 DAC is one we always recommend to anyone looking to upgrade their laptop-based headphones listening. It builds on Chord Electronics' extensive DAC expertise and offers hi-res file support, has two 3.5mm headphone ports, optical, coaxial and USB inputs.

The original £450 price had gone down to £395 over the past year, but now it has plunged to £249 on Peter Tyson, which is an all-time low and a great price for this multi-Award-winning DAC.

Battery life is 8 hours and its colour-coded buttons can take a while to get used to, but the sonic boost it offers is amazing. The sound is astonishingly clear, detailed and precise, with ample depth and dimension in the soundstage. Dynamics are expressive and rhythms are handled with agility and propulsive momentum, with songs sounding so much more immediate, transparent and exciting. Highly recommend.

Just spotted: this Award-winning NAD streaming amplifier is £200 off

Just when we thought we couldn't find any more hi-fi deals, this £200 saving on a NAD streaming amplifier pops up.

The NAD C 3050 with MDC2 BluOS-D Module (to give its full name) is a 100W per channel amplifier with the excellent BluOS streaming platform baked in. We tested it at £1699 and loved it so much we gave it a 2025 What Hi-Fi? Award. Now it's down to £1499 at Sevenoaks Sound & Vision, and it is a hefty saving on a very talented streaming amplifier. All you need to do is add a pair of speakers.

The NAD is gorgeously made, is easy to use thanks to the well-appointed BluOS platform that gives you plenty of popular and niche music streaming services at your fingertips, not to mention multi-room features along with 24-bit/192kHz hi-res file support. Its phono stage and Bluetooth abilities are also of good quality, and overall, this is an expressive, refined and stable performer with a spacious soundstage and stable, confident sound. For an all-in-one product of this kind, it can't be bettered at this price.

We've been burning the midnight oil here at What Hi-Fi? towers, but as we head into the Black Friday weekend, it's time to bid you adieu, goodbye and good night.

But not before leaving you with some great deals, some sage advice and a round-up to give you plenty to think about, especially if you're still mulling over how to spend your hard-earned cash on all kinds of good hi-fi around at the moment.

Firstly, our staff writer James Cook has rounded up all the hi-fi deals he could find on our 2025 What Hi-Fi? Award winners – and found 11 great ones.

Secondly, our hi-fi editor Kash Kabir has found two amplifiers – one from Cambridge Audio, one from Arcam – with tempting Black Friday deals. Both are currently £799 with similar features, but which is the better buy?

And finally, one word of advice: you don't have to buy anything in the Black Friday sales. Our editor in chief Alastair Stevenson has been eyeing up these Award-winning speakers all year and still recommends them, even if they're full price.

Equally, our resident turntable fan (Kash again) is a big fan of this brilliantly compact, stylish and great-sounding vinyl system that is made up of just two products, and neither of them is enjoying a Black Friday deal.

One thing that she will be doing, however, is spending a bit of money on buying vinyl records this weekend. That's even though our content editor, Joe Cox, is still in disbelief at the rising cost of records – but it's hard to ignore the 3 for £66 vinyl deals at Amazon.
