The Best Beauty Trends To Try Now

Need some inspiration for your next party beauty look? The Fall 2018 runways were full of intriguing beauty looks that will give you plenty of hair & makeup ideas throughout the holiday season.

Here are the top beauty trends of the season and how you can get the look for yourself:

Two-Tone Eye Makeup

Why pick just one shade of eye shadow to wear when you could rock two? At Christian Siriano, the models wore a combination of pink and blue shadow for a bold pop of color.

For maximum color impact, use an eyeshadow primer first and apply the shadow with a wet brush, which will make the shadow extra pigmented.

Wine Lip Stain

A deep red lip stain is a great look for fall and winter soirees. The key to achieving this look is in the application: start from the middle of your lips and work your way out to the corners, and don’t worry about getting that perfectly straight line. The stain should look worn-in and slightly imperfect.

Gently blot over your lips to slowly build up color and achieve that wine-stained effect.

All-Over Liner

Draw all the attention to your eyes with thick all-over liner and shadow in dark dark black. Looking to jazz it up a bit for a party? At Alice + Olivia, the models’ eyeliner was accentuated with sparkling black glitter for added texture.

Using a traditional pencil will help you create that smudgy look. Hold the liner tip between the palms of your hands to warm it up, apply the liner around your eyes, then soften and smudge the edges with a small blending brush.

Decorative Bobby Pins

Gone are the days of trying to hide your bobby pins! Right now, it is all the rage to show off your pins and arrange them in creative designs. Use bobby pins that contrast from your hair color to really make them stand out.

Why not go all out with a truly fun hairdo this season? You can’t get much bolder than a neon pink bob, as seen on Gigi Hadid at the Jeremy Scott show; of course, if you aren’t committed to dying your hair, you can always don a wig for a temporary hair statement.
