The best beauty advent calendars still in stock: Jo Malone, Diptyque, Cult Beauty, Sephora and more

There was a time when advent calendars were simple affairs: cardboard, glitter, and if you were lucky, a square of waxy chocolate behind each window.

These days? The seasonal countdown has become a high-stakes beauty bonanza, where brands compete not only on content but on concept, curation, and sheer indulgence. It’s no longer just about marking the days until the feast of Saint Nick finally rolls around; it’s about doing so with a tipple, lipstick or luxury candle in hand.

Beauty advent calendars have come a long way since the early days of sample-sized moisturisers and dinky nail polishes. Now, the most coveted calendars are feats of design and marketing — limited-edition and stacked with products worth well above the price tag.

For beauty devotees, it’s the equivalent of 25 little Christmas mornings. For brands, it’s a chance to show off their greatest hits (and introduce you to a few hidden gems).

The best calendars have already launched and disappear quickly. Wait until the festive lights are switched on and you may well find yourself refreshing retail pages with all the hope – and none of the reward – of a Boxing Day advent calendar sale.

The good news is that 2025’s offerings are more sophisticated than ever. Sustainability is no longer a side note; we’re seeing recyclable packaging, refillable contents, and responsibly sourced ingredients.

Meanwhile, contents are being elevated across the board, from full-sized icons to TikTok-viral newcomers; the mix is smarter, more inclusive, and often tailored to specific beauty tribes - skincare obsessives, fragrance collectors, make-up maximalists, or the quiet-luxury minimalist.

Whether you’re treating yourself (because why not?) or spoiling someone else, a beauty advent calendar delivers daily joy with a side of self-care. From cult classics to brand-new discoveries, we’ve curated the standout options for 2025. And don’t worry, we’ve done the maths to make sure they’re worth your money.

Here are the calendars that deserve a spot on your wishlist while they’re still in stock.
