The best bakery in Leeds - and surprisingly it isn't Greggs

Doh'hut was rated as the number one bakery in Leeds on TripAdvisor.

The bakery, situated in Leeds city centre, sells a selection of sandwiches, rolls, pastries and sweet treats - but it's best known for its delectable array of doughnuts.

Notably, the bakery beat numerous Greggs bakeries to the top spot - with Greggs on Merrion Street ranking as the 13th best bakery, and Greggs on Bond Street coming in 16th place.

The bakery has become a huge hit with customers for it's unique selling point that promises to "fill the spot" for the lack of high quality doughnuts in the Leeds and Yorkshire area.

"I am willing to fill the spot with the best doughnut you have tasted since your childhood," the bakery said.

Each week the bakery has a different special doughnut, with previous fillings including: After Eight chocolates, salted caramel cheese cake and traditional strawberry jam.

The bakery also offers coffee, sandwiches and sub rolls - each with plenty of fillings to choose from.

And it's easy to see why the bakery has made it to the top spot as many customers have left rave reviews about its' food - in particular, the doughnut.

Doh'hut also serves a delicious selection of subs (TripAdvisor)

"These guys know what they are good at and that is definitely doughnuts . Delicious! Would recommend to anyone and everyone."

Another person agreed and wrote: "Best doughnuts and amazing lattes! A must to go. Really nice staff and cafe and the doughnuts are to die for.

"Proper jam inside and really light and not greasy which you normally get and not dry.

"The coffees are fab too. Not bitter and taste amazing. Been the last two Saturday’s in a row and we got recognised which was nice."

A third person added: "Ham and cheese sandwich from Dohut was always a work lunchtime treat, and now has been Lockdown essential.

"With a doughnut to follow, it’s been our favourite lunch and guaranteed mood lifter. The team are super friendly too and just an all-round great."
