The best and worst case scenario for Frank Lampard and Chelsea following West Ham match

It has been a positive start to the season for Chelsea in Frank Lampard's first campaign back at the club.

The Blues sit in fourth place in the Premier League table going into match number 14 of the season against West Ham United. Chelsea have picked up 26 points from their first 13 games, winning eight, drawing two and losing three.

Their last game ended in disappointment after falling to a 2-1 defeat to reigning Premier League champions Manchester City, but Lampard's men were on a run of six straight league wins before that result.

Chelsea will be looking to bounce back with a three points in the London derby against West Ham, who are in poor form.

But what difference could the result make in the Premier League table for the Blues.

As revealed by Possible_tables on Instagram, three points could take Chelsea as high as 2nd, however, that would only be possible with a  goal difference swing of 14, which seems very unlikely. Third place is possible should Manchester City lose to Newcastle United.

While a win could see the Blues move up the table, a loss would not result in a move down the league, as Chelsea have a seven point gap over fifth place Wolves.

A draw is also very likely to result in Chelsea staying in fourth place in the league.
