An Edinburgh house hunter has vowed to move back to Glasgow after finding what can only be described as the final boss of Edinburgh's utterly bizarre housing market.
Laura Doherty had been browsing properties for sale in and around Edinburgh when she found a quaint little flat in Leith on the market for £147,000.
But when she took a closer look, she realised the small bathroom didn't have a shower or sink, which had been placed in the bedroom instead.
"Oh, an en-suite?" I hear you say. No. Not an en-suite. It's literally a shower plonked in the corner of the bedroom.
Laura shared images of the one-bedroom apartment on social media on Thursday 3 December, writing: "Had a wee look to see what I could maybe afford to buy in Leith and - well - this bedroom has a shower in it."
She later added: "£147,000, I think I'll be coming back to Glasgow."
From one angle, the double bedroom looks perfectly normal, with stunning wooden floors and high ceilings.
But you can just make out the tiles in the corner of the picture, which cover a step leading up to a shower cubicle. Alongside that, there's also a sink and mirror on one side, and a towel rail on the other.
The flat is being sold by Warners, which says in the online listing : "Please note that the owner has obtained consent in respect of the shower cubicle and wash-hand basin within the bedroom." Oh, good, it has planning consent. That's OK then.
The rest of the flat is pretty normal, albeit compact. There's a kitchen/living room with almost enough room to swing a small cat, with the listing describing the home as a 'lovely property'.
It adds: "Features include a good range of fitted units within the kitchen area, sanded flooring, gas central heating and double glazing."
But it's the bedroom that has social media users in stitches, with one person replying to Laura's tweet: "My ex Airbnb senses are tingling."
Others were a little more positive, with one saying the set-up looked 'convenient', while someone else said it was 'practical'.
Another said: "I love that!"
Reflecting on her find, 32-year-old Laura said: "I've been looking in Glasgow for a while, but thought I'd see if things had improved in Edinburgh in the last couple of months and clearly they haven't!"
A report by The Herald back in September revealed the average house price in Edinburgh is nearly double that of Glasgow.
The average property in the capital costs £263,900 compared to £135,100 in Glasgow.
