The Beautiful South members to perform Glasgow gig in days

Former Beautiful South bandmates, Alison Wheeler and Gaz Birtles, will be coming to Glasgow as part of a nine-piece band called The South - and will be playing hits made famous by the iconic pop-rock band.

Together, they will perform songs including the UK Number One Single 'A Little Time', 'Perfect 10', 'Rotterdam', 'Old Red Eyes Is Back', 'Good as Gold', 'Don't Marry Her' plus many classic hits.

The South will also be performing their own original material during the Glasgow gig, at the Centre for Contemporary Arts, on Saturday July 22.

With an impressive back catalogue dating all the way back to the 80s, Glaswegians can expect a night packed with wall-to-wall hits performed by an excellent live ensemble, with more than enough classic singalongs to sing yourself hoarse.

During the TRNSMT festival at Glasgow Green over the weekend, The Beautiful South ex-lead singer, Paul Heaton put money behind five Glasgow pubs to ensure concert-goers could have a drink on him before he performed on Friday July 7.

He was one of the incredible artists performing on the first day of the festival with others including Pulp, Niall Horan and The View.

Standing tickets for The South's gig this month cost £31.50 per person, with the event for those aged 18 or over only. No refunds will be given to under 18s who buy a spot at the event.
