The Beatles Story are on the lookout for somebody to talk about The Beatles- and get paid for it.

If you've ever wished you could get paid to talk about your favourite band then this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

The Albert Dock based museum is on the hunt for an education officer to teach people all about The Beatles' history and legacy around the world.

Everyone knows The Beatles are one of Liverpool's most famous and best-loved exports - and this job would mean educating tourists about the band's global cultural impact.

The successful candidate would need to develop and deliver high quality learning programmes for schools and families, inspired by The Beatles and their legacy."

Key responsibilities of the role include managing primary school, high school and further education groups visiting The Beatles Story and developing and delivering imaginative, engaging activities suitable for a range of ages.

There are also some admin tasks involved, like completing rotas, managing a team of staff and placing orders.

It's essential that any candidates who are keen to apply are educated to a degree level along with a relevant teaching qualification.

They must have a wealth of knowledge about the National Curriculum, have experience of teaching and managing a team and have an in depth understanding of child safeguarding policies.

The ideal applicant will be interested in problems facing the educational sector, Liverpool's heritage, The Beatles history and 'learning outside the classroom' initiatives.

An online listing says this role is 35 hours per week - but anyone thinking of applying will need to be flexible, with the workload occasionally falling on weekends.

The salary for this position is £25,627 and applicants should submit their CV and a cover letter which details their experience, skills and knowledge.
