The Bears or Jets should consider Carli Lloyd as their kicker if she can do this

Carli Lloyd has shown everyone her skills on the soccer pitch and when she arrived at Eagles camp she decided to transfer that skill to the football. A 55-yarder is nothing to sneeze at.

It makes you think that the Bears or Jets, both teams that have had their kicker troubles in the preseason, should maybe take a look at Lloyd as their kicker. At worst, bring her in and put some pressure on the guys they have on the roster.

Football movie fans will remember Kathy Ireland kicking for Texas State University Fightin’ Armadillos in Necessary Roughness — a great movie by the way. Katie Hnida was the first woman to score points in NCAA football history. Becca Longo was signed to kick at Adams State. The next step is for a woman to kick in the NFL.

Obviously, Lloyd has her focus on soccer, but it wouldn’t be the worst idea to give her a shot. It has to be better than what the Jets and Bears are dealing with right now.
