The Bears not kicking an extra point after a TD with no time left was a horrible beat for bettors

The Chicago Bears entered Sunday’s Wild Card game against the New Orleans Saints as 11.5 or 11-point underdogs in some places where one would place bets on games.

So when they scored a TD with no time left to make it a 12-point game, it appeared that they might pull off one heck of a back-door cover.

But then no extra point was attempted, the teams ran on the field and shook hands, and fans everywhere who had some money on that spread couldn’t believe what had just happened.

The Saints, meanwhile, won the game, 21-9, and will host the Bucs next week.
