The Bear actor Jeremy Allen White’s wife Addison Timlin files for divorce after three years of marriage

The Bear star Jeremy Allen White’s wife has filed for a divorce after more than three years of marriage.

Addison Timlin filed the request for legal separation on Thursday in Los Angeles, People magazine has confirmed.

The pair married at the Beverly Hills courthouse in October 2019 and share two daughters, Ezer, four, and Dolores, two.

The US actor, 32, stars in the award-winning Disney+ drama, the second season of which is due to arrive on June 22.

In The Bear, White plays a young chef from the world of fine dining, who comes home to Chicago to run his family’s sandwich shop after the suicide of his older brother.

He won several accolades for the role during the 2023 awards season including at the Critics Choice Television Awards, Screen Actors Guild (SAG) awards, and Golden Globes.

Picking up the Golden Globe for best actor in a television series – musical or comedy, White thanked his family and singled out Timlin.

“Addison Timlin, I love you deep in my bones. Thank you for all that you do. Thank you for everything you’ve done.”

According to Us Weekly, the couple were teenagers when they first met at drama class before they starred in 2008 pyschological thriller, Afterschool. Although it’s unclear when they began dating, reports cite it was around 2013.

At the time, Timlin revealed during an interview with Harper’s Bazaar that she had started a new relationship, but remained coy about the man in question.

She shared: “I've got a sweetheart who I will not disclose, but, yes, he'd be the guy. We have a nice foundation from being friends for a long period of time, and then it took a hard right turn into romance.”

They married in 2019, a year after welcoming daughter Ezer, with Coldplay’s Chris Martin and girlfriend Dakota Johnson acting as witnesses for the pair.

Timlin has starred on Law & Order, Californication, and most recently, American Horror Story while White first found fame on Shameless, and has received much success with his new series, The Bear.

The Standard has contacted Jeremy Allen White and Addison Timlin’s reps for comment.
