The Bayern Munich ace Chelsea want to sign this summer and it's not David Alaba

As question marks emerge over the future of Christian Pulisic at Chelsea, the Blues are already looking at potential replacements for the American international.

One man who fits the bill is French international Kingsley Coman. The Bayern Munich star is one of the most decorated players in world football with an incredible 23 major titles to his name, despite only being 24-years-old.

Across spells with Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus and Bayern, Coman has won nine league titles, the Champions League, the Club World Cup and a host of other domestic honours and has previously expressed an interest in playing in England.

Chelsea have previously shown an interest in Coman, particularly as a replacement for Callum Hudson-Odoi when the England international looked to be on the verge of leaving Stamford Bridge for Bayern. However, after the attacking-midfielder signed a new deal at the club any move for Coman was shelved.

Their interest could once again be piqued if Pulisic were to show a desire to move on from Chelsea in a search for regular football.

The American has not started any of the 11 games Thomas Tuchel has been in charge of at Stamford Bridge and there have been rumours that the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool and Bayern would be keen on securing the 22-year-olds signature.

Chelsea's interest in Coman has been reported in the Daily Mail, with the piece suggesting Manchester City and Manchester United could emerge as rivals for the Bayern star if the German's decided to cash in on their asset.

The Frenchman will have two years remaining on his contract at the end of this season meaning a sale could come sooner rather than later if he does not agree a new deal with his current club soon.

Coman scored the winning goal in last season's Champions League final and if he were not to agree a new contract with Bayern soon his value would start to depreciate as he got towards the end of his deal in 2023.

If the German's want to sell their player, then this summer would be the optimum time for them in regard to receiving the maximum transfer fee.

Although Bayern chief Karl-Heinz Rummenigge was adamant in December that "Coman was not for sale" following reports in The Sun Manchester United were prepared to offer him a deal worth £260,000 per week.

If the European Champions stance has changed then Chelsea would be looking to make Coman one of their highest earners in a bid to persuade the star his future lays in London not Manchester.
