The Batman trailer stars Glasgow as Gotham with city's famous Necropolis featured in clip

Glasgow's famous Necropolis is one of the stars that can be seen in the new trailer for Hollywood blockbuster The Batman.

Robert Pattinson stars as the caped crusader for the multi-million dollar movie which saw Glasgow recently transformed to become Batman's home, Gotham City.

The new trailer for the movie which also boasts actors Zoe Kravitz and Colin Farrell, has been released and if you look closely you'll see some scenes from Glasgow in all its glory.

Scene featuring the historic Necropolis shows the Dark Knight riding his bat bike round the winding path, and was filmed in February 2020 just before the Covid 19 lockdown.

Robert Pattinson did not actually visit the city, but the stuntman gave us plenty of thrills during the filmmaking process.

In July, Batman was also seen beside the City Chambers and St Vincent Street as he reappeared for the filming of The Flash.

The Batman movie was just the one of a string of Hollywood blockbusters filmed in Scotland recently with others like Indiana Jones also filming during the summer.

Warner Bros also revealed they will be filming again soon with a £150,000 grant to film a major feature film in Glasgow.

The Batman is set for general release in UK cinemas on March 4, 2022.
