The Barcelona transfer admission that could be fantastic news for Chelsea and Frank Lampard

Barcelona boss Quique Setien has admitted there is uncertainty heading into the summer transfer window which could affect his pursuit of players.

The Catalan giants are being linked with a host of players heading into the summer transfer window, with reports suggesting a huge overhaul will take place at Camp Nou.

Among those understood of interest to the La Liga side is Inter Milan forward Lautaro Martinez, who is also linked with a move to Chelsea.

Alan Smith's Chelsea Q&A on Kepa, Kante and the transfer market

A stern battle, therefore, could be on the cards in the market but the latest comments from Setien may hand the Blues a boost in the hunt.

"We talk about transfers, but this pandemic is going to condition many things. The situation of the clubs will be economically complicated," he told Onda Cero.

"I am not pessimistic or optimistic with Lautaro. I like how I like great footballers, but I have no illusions with any."

The Argentine striker has been linked with a host of clubs ahead of the summer transfer window, having established himself as one of the hottest commodities in world football.

And last week football london 's Oliver Harbord revealed that Martinez is on Blues head coach Frank Lampard's wishlist ahead of the summer window, but warned the striker won't come cheap.

"A forward on the agenda," he said during a Q&A session. "Like in January, Frank Lampard will certainly have a new forward on the agenda, either a striker or a goalscoring winger.

"If the Blues got Jovic, it would likely be on a loan move.

"Whereas Moussa Dembele is also on the list.

"Martinez would be a massive deal, however, with the striker having impressed with Inter Milan and they wouldn't let him go for cheap."
