The Barcelona 'dressing room fallout' caused by Liverpool's win in Champions League

Following Liverpool's 4-0 hammering of Ernesto Valverde's Barcelona on Tuesday things in the Camp Nou dressing room are said to have detioriated.

Since crashing out of the Champions League there has been a social media blackout from the Barca stars.

As of Thursday afternoon, not one player had reacted to the Catalan side's failure to advance into the final - which will be held in Madrid on June 1.

The club's various accounts have been posting as usual, but Lionel Messi and his team-mates haven't shared any messages of apology nor encouragement with supporters.

This is how much money Liverpool earned by beating Barcelona in Champions League semi-finals

According to Sport the Barca fallout following defeat has been substantial.

The Spanish publication argued defeat to Roma came as a shock, a one-off.

But loss at Anfield not only opened up old wounds and bad memories, but has been a larger and more troubling pill to swallow.

Toni Juanmarti writing for Sport claimed: "The dressing room isn't united and there are many doubts surrounding the squad.

"[Jasper] Cillessen has already said he wants to leave. [Philippe] Coutinho has endured a poor season, [Ivan] Rakitic's future is up in the air and Arthur has been relegated to being a bench player."

Jurgen Klopp's team not only managed to knock the La Liga champions out of the competition but unveil the impending dislocation of one of the world's greatest ever teams.

The captain and legendary goalscorer, Messi, failed to find his deft touch that punished the Reds in the semi-final first leg.

After the game the Argentine, who scored his 600th goal against Liverpool last week, reportedly couldn't bring himself to look at his team-mates.

As Juanmarti aptly put it: "That once strong bond of pure confidence has been weakened."

It was weakened by a Liverpool team hungry for success.

While Barca's confidence took a serious hammer-blow in L4, the bonds of this Liverpool team grew stronger.

Unity is strength and the confidence and belief of Klopp's men continues to multiply.
