The tricky Spurs, Chelsea & Man United fixtures that could hand Arsenal boost in top-four race

We're into the final stretch of the Premier League season with just six matches to go for most of the Champions League hopefuls.

Just three points separates Spurs in third place from Manchester United in sixth and the battle looks set to go right to the wire. The Gunners are in a very good position and have none of their top six rivals left to play which is always a bonus.

That of course means the others still have some massive ties to go, as well as some other tricky fixtures that could cause them to slip up.

Manchester United's defeat to Wolves on Tuesday meant they missed a chance to move above Unai Emery's side and now they have played a game more than Arsenal and another loss at this stage of the season could be crucial.

We take a look at where teams could slip up and hand Arsenal a boost.

Chelsea fixtures

14th April vs Liverpool at Anfield

28th April vs Manchester United at Old Trafford

4th May vs Watford at Stamford Bridge

12th May vs Leicester City at the King Power Stadium

For all Maurizio Sarri has been deemed to have had a poor season at the helm for the Blues, they remain right in the mix. That said, it looks like they have the hardest run to come.

Fixtures away to Liverpool and Manchester United speak for themselves, though the Blues did manage to draw against both sides earlier in the season. They suffered a 2-0 defeat to the Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side in he FA Cup but did prevail over Jurgen Klopp's men thanks to Eden Hazard's winner in the Carabao Cup. Either way, both teams will still have plenty to play for and will provide difficult opposition.

How many points Man United will need to beat Arsenal, Chelsea & Spurs to a Champions League spot

Watford and Leicester may initially seem less of a threat but both are still pushing for seventh place and the best of the rest title. The Hornets will be a threat on the break against the Blues' possession football and while they have struggled against the league's elite, Javi Gracia's side have goals in them.

The Foxes have won four of their last five fixtures and have already beaten Chelsea this season. Another team set up to counter well and they only needed 27% possession at Stamford Bridge for Jamie Vardy's goal to prove the difference

Manchester United fixtures

24th April vs Manchester City at Old Trafford

28th April vs Chelsea at Old Trafford

Two mammoth ties in the remaining Premier League calendar. The Red Devils will face their Manchester rivals following a hectic period for both teams. The size and quality of Manchester City's squad should mean they can manage the pace of the FA Cup and Champions League and with a league title to retain they will be more than up for the fixture.

Everton Director reveals the transfer advantage his side has over Arsenal, Chelsea & Man United

Solskjaer will be confident of picking up points over Chelsea but you can never count out a side that has the ability of Hazard to rely on.

How the contenders do in their home games will be pivotal and for United, six points from these two matches will be difficult to earn.

Tottenham fixtures

20th April vs Manchester City at the Etihad

At the moment every tie feels like it is a potential banana skin for Spurs. Their stadium opener against the Eagles will be crucial in setting the tone for the remainder of their season.

Mauricio Pochettino's side are fortunate to have four home fixtures against teams they have already dispatched this term but the pressure to do well in those games increases when one of the away matches is against Manchester City.

The Champions League hopefuls meet three times in 11 days so there is sure to be plenty of tactical changes and mind games throughout, but Pep Guardiola may just have more tools at his disposal.
