This is the Leeds cake shop that makes realistic creative cakes and has grown during lockdown.
Steven Newbatt, owner of the Candied Peel Company, has made all sorts of cakes including Marvel wedding cake, a Rolex watch cake and even a real looking burger cake.
When the shop in Town Street, Farsley, first opened in September 2019, they were selling to friends and family but word soon spread and now they have customers all over the city.

Steven was worried about the future of the business when the country went into lockdown in March 2020.
The Candied Peel Company, which had only been open for six months, quickly switched to a delivery service.
As well as making celebration cakes and other sweet treats, they also make creative cakes with a Rolex watch cake, a Pikachu cake and even one resembling a building, among three of many they have made.
Steve said: “We were really concerned when the pandemic started and everything went into lockdown. We hadn’t been open for long, we’d only opened in September, six months before.
“We were thinking what’s going to happen to the business.
Speaking on why he opened a cake shop, he continued: “I lived in Scotland for a number of years before moving back down to England. I used to run a coffee shop so I’d make some of the cakes and the other little things you have on the side with your coffee.
"We moved back down to Leeds, I felt that the margin wasn’t that high so decided against a coffee shop. I was in between jobs, I thought ‘stuff it’.”
Steven added one of the reasons he believes the shop has been successful is down to people wanting to support local businesses and shopping locally.
In the future, he hopes to put on sessions where new bakers can learn how to make cakes.
