After a few weeks of detente, the war of words between Browns QB Baker Mayfield and Fox Sports radio host Colin Cowherd has heated up once again. The latest escalation launched when Cowherd attacked Mayfield’s high-profile teammate, wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.
Cowherd produced and proudly posted a “Family Feud”-style feature on Beckham, lambasting the receiver’s lack of success. It came off as mean-spirited and petty:
In true “that’s my quarterback” fashion, Mayfield quickly counterattacked Cowherd on Twitter.
Judging by the ratio of comments to likes and the responses to both tweets, Mayfield captured this round of the (completely senseless) war of words.
