Universal and DreamWorks Animation have announced the release of The Bad Guys 2, scheduled to hit theaters on August 1, 2025. This sequel follows the success of the 2022 film and brings back a star-studded cast including Sam Rockwell as Mr. Wolf, Marc Maron as Mr. Snake, Craig Robinson as Mr. Shark, Anthony Ramos as Mr. Piranha, and Awkwafina as Ms. Tarantula.
Joining the returning cast are Zazie Beetz as Diana Foxington, Richard Ayoade as Professor Marmalade, Alex Borstein as police chief Misty Luggins, and Lilly Singh as Tiffany Fluffit. The storyline revolves around The Bad Guys struggling to adapt to their new lives as Good Guys, only to be pulled back into action for 'one last job' by a group of female criminals.
Pierre Perifel is set to direct the film, with Damon Ross producing once again. JP Sans will co-direct after his previous role as head of character animation. The musical score for The Bad Guys 2 will be composed by Daniel Pemberton. The first installment of The Bad Guys franchise grossed an impressive $250.4 million at the box office, setting high expectations for the upcoming sequel.
