'The back me to sack me resignation of the second worst PM in modern times'

Back me to sack me was the desperate resignation of the second worst Prime Minister in modern times.

David Cameron’s the worst after losing Europe in a reckless tactical referendum but humiliated Theresa May runs him pretty close.

Two terrible duds in quick succession’s plunged battered Britain into cataclysmic crisis so future generations will curse the name of May.

Dropping the ball on Brexit, botching negotiating with our European neighbours and fatally pandering to the voracious, insatiable Tory and DUP no deal hardliners now devouring her, left a naive PM a stumbling disaster zone.

Boris Johnson BACKS Brexit deal moments after Theresa May promises to resign

Brextremists cynically voting for a bad deal to dump May would confirm this was never about the country’s interests but them, her and a Conservative Party lurching terrifyingly further to the Right.

History tells the truth and it’ll be brutally unkind to a Downing Street tenant facing merciless eviction.

She’s PM who rashly chucked away a Tory majority with a backfiring presidential General Election.

The Home Secretary who slashed 21,000 police officers and bequeathed a knife crime epidemic and the Windrush racism scandal.

A partisan Tory in tooth and claw who, over nine years, championed economic growth demolishing, income squeezing, public service destroying ideological austerity.

Next Conservative leader odds: Runners and riders to replace Theresa May

And there is, of course, the Brexit shambles without a guarantee May’s offered P45 will see Parliament embrace her lousy deal.

May knows Brexit would leave Britain poorer and weaker, irrelevant and insular.

Building walls between us and our partners is locking ourselves out of a powerful, successful family of nations in a troubled, unpredictable world.

It’s why the PM famously wouldn’t commit to voting Brexit in a second referendum.

May’s Brexit is about damage limitation and it’s, as she's fully aware, a worse deal than staying in Europe.

May will be damned as the PM who deliberately, purposely harmed a Disunited Kingdom instead of bringing us together.
