The atmosphere in Manchester United dressing room at half-time during West Ham loss

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says there was a 'good atmosphere' in the Manchester United dressing room a half-time of their Premier League defeat to West Ham on Sunday.

United fell to their second defeat of the season in the match as goals from Andriy Yarmolenko and Aaron Creswell secured for the home side at the London Stadium.

United had struggled during the first-half and were punished for their errors when Ukraine international Yarmolenko fired in the opening goal right before the break.

After the restart United missed a glorious opportunity to level the scores when Juan Mata sliced an effort wide from only yards away, while Harry Maguire was denied another big opportunity to level later in the half by a Lukasz Fabianski save.

Creswell's stunning free-kick decided the match for West Ham late on, but after the game Solskjaer insisted his side did respond in the correct manner when they had gone a goal down before half-time.

When asked if he had specifically requested his players out onto the pitch ahead of the second-half, Solskjaer said: "It is a good group to work with, they are determined.

"This is not... sometimes along the road you are going to hit some bumps as we've said.

"Some highs and lows, this group is out there determined, they showed the desire that they want to get out. It was a good atmosphere in dressing room. they have got the the focus right."
