Let’s all just wait for the picks to be announced instead of having reporters feed them to us right before Roger Goodell says their name.
It feels like that was the case heading into the first overall pick of the 2022 edition in Las Vegas.
But then, The Athletic’s Shams Charania — yes, he mostly reports on the NBA, but he’s broken NFL news occasionally — decided to troll the universe and maybe have some fun with everyone by telling NFL fans that the Jacksonville Jaguars were going to take Georgia’s Travon Walker.
Fans, naturally, were furious at this:
