Arsenal are currently locked in talks with Chelsea winger Willian, according to reports.
The Brazilian international is poised to leave the Stamford Bridge club this summer after failing to agree a new deal with the Blues.
Willian, who has scored 11 goals in all competitions this season, was offered a new two-year deal by the Blues several months ago but turned it down, with the winger holding out for a three-year option.
Chelsea, though, are not willing to hand out a new three-year contract to the winger as he turns 32 in less than a week's time.
With that in mind, the winger is poised to leave the West London club when his contract expires, as soon as Chelsea have concluded their 2019/20 fixtures, which could be as soon as this weekend if they fail to get past Bayern Munich in their Uefa Champions League last-16 tie.
And it appears as though Arsenal are leading the chase to sign the right-winger, with reports in the national media claiming that Mikel Arteta - the Gunners head coach - is desperate to add a new attacking option to his ranks this summer.
Arsenal are, reportedly, ready to offer Willian a three-year deal in an attempt to convince him to join the club, meaning the Brazilian could be tempted, as he has regularly reiterated is desire to stay in the Premier League.
Should everything go the way that Arsenal want it to and wrap up a deal for Willian, who could become the club's first major signing of the summer, they could be catching glimpses of him come the start of pre-season.
Should a deal get over the line, one of the first things that Willian will have to do is select a shirt number, with players, nowadays, often being quite picky about number that they wear.
During his time at Chelsea, Willian has always worn No.10 or No.22, with the Brazilian only making the switch to No.10 last summer following the departure of Eden Hazard.
Arsenal have already announced their kit numbers for next season and both No.10 and No.22 are taken, meaning the former Anzhi Makhachkala star will have to select a new option.
And with that in mind, football.london has taken a close look at the options available to Willian if he does complete a move to the Emirates Stadium this summer.
No.6
Former Arsenal captain Laurent Koscielny was the last Gunners player to wear shirt No.6 before he sealed a switch to French outfit Bordeaux last summer, meaning that particular number is available to any new recruits that arrive at the Emirates Stadium this summer.
No.8
The No.8 shirt has just become vacant again after Real Madrid loanee Dani Ceballos returned to the Spanish capital following the conclusion of his loan spell.
The Spaniard made a real name for himself in the final few months of his time in North London and could return on a permanent basis this summer, or perhaps on a second loan deal.
Should that prove the case, the midfielder will probably target the same number again. If he doesn't return, though, it is a number that may be tempting for Willian to snap up.
No.12
Shirt No.12 has been available since the end of the 2018/19 season after former Gunners right-back Stephan Lichsteiner left the club after just one season in England.
No.13
Former Gunner shot-stopper David Ospina was the last player to hold this number and he left the club on a permanent basis last summer, joining Italian giants Napoli.
No.18
Having initially worn shirt No.17 upon his arrival at the Emirates Stadium, Nacho Monreal made the switch to shirt No.18 ahead of the start of the 2014/15 campaign and held that until he left last summer.
No.27
The No.27 shirt has been worn by some memorable names in the past, including Emmanuel Eboue, Gervinho and even Serge Gnabry.
But it has been available for anyone to wear since January after its occupier, Konstantinos Mavropanos, went out on loan, joining German club FC Nurnberg. Not longer after he had returned to England, though, Mavropanos was announced to have joined Stuttgart on loan for the whole of next season, meaning No.27 could be selected.
