The Arsenal outcasts who gave Unai Emery a major selection dilemma against Liverpool

It was a night of real drama at Anfield as Liverpool and Arsenal battled it out for a place in the Carabao Cup quarter finals.

The two sides played out a stunning 5-5 draw on Merseyside in a clash that certainly got pulses racing.

However it was Jurgen Klopp's side who squeezed through to the next round after coming out victorious in a penalty shootout.

Supporters were asked to rate the Arsenal squad during the Carabao Cup clash and they responded with some interesting results.

Unsurprisingly, Gabriel Martinelli topped the rankings after scoring two goals for the Gunners, while Lucas Torreira, Bukayo Saka and Hector Belleron were also rated highly.

Mesut Ozil was a surprise inclusion but supporters were suitably impressed with what he added to the group.

While it was an excellent display from an attacking point of view, supporters weren't impressed with the defence.

Dani Ceballos, Sead Kolasinac and Emilano Martinez failed to impress the supporters, however it was Shkodran Mustafi who got the lowest rating of the Arsenal squad.

Here's how supporters rated the Arsenal team.

Gabriel Martinelli - 8.8

Mesut Ozil - 8.1

Lucas Torreira - 7.4

Bukayo Saka - 7.1

Hector Bellerin - 6.8

Ainsley Maitland-Niles - 6.4

Joe Willock - 6.3

Rob Holding - 5.5

Matteo Guendouzi - 5.5

Dani Ceballos - 5.0

Emiliano Martinez - 4.9

Sead Kolasinac - 4.5

Shkodran Mustafi - 3.8
