Officials from all 20 clubs will speak via conference call to discuss whether it will be safe to resume matches on the planned date, how to fit all fixtures in before UEFA's suggested cut-off point of 30 June, and whether games should be played behind closed doors.

Other matters such as the financial impact of the virus pandemic will be spoken about, as clubs come to terms with what is an unprecedented period in the history of the sport.

Further talks are planned next week, but much will depend on the guidance based on government advice.

Aubameyang's Instagram message

The Arsenal squad are still in a period of self-isolation following head coach Mikel Arteta testing positive for coronavirus last week.

The Gunners boss was diagnosed with COVID-19 on Thursday, leading to the club's London Colney training ground to be placed on lockdown and the entire squad to self-isolate.

As a result, the squad have been trying to keep in the best possible shape, with the club providing the squad with tailored fitness plans to carry out at home.

Captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is one of those who has been working behind closed-doors, and the Arsenal striker posted a message to supporters on his Instagram account.

Aubameyang uploaded a picture of himself in what appears to be the gym at his home

The caption reads: 'The Time Room ....tic ....tac. PS : stop nominating me everywhere,' which refers to the 'Stay at home challenge', whereby players attempt to play keepy-uppy with a toilet roll.
