David Villa says he was "90 percent" sure he was going to join Arsenal from Barcelona, before completing a move to Atletico Madrid.

The former Barcelona and Spain international had been linked with a move to north London in January 2013, but the La Liga side opted to keep the forward until the summer.

Hector Bellerin sends Instagram message to Serge Gnabry

Hector Bellerin took to social media after Chelsea's 3-0 defeat to Bayern Munich to send a message to Serge Gnabry.

The Germany international scored twice in the second half at Stamford Bridge, as the Bundesliga champions took a comprehensive first leg lead in their last-16 tie.

Arsene Wenger explains Serge Gnabry's Arsenal exit

Arsene Wenger has appeared to take aim at Bayern Munich over the way they signed Serge Gnabry from Werder Bremen.

Gnabry was handed his Arsenal first team debut by Wenger in 2012 but went on to make only 10 Premier League appearances for the Gunners before leaving to join Bremen in 2016.

The winger then moved to Bayern Munich the following season and has since forced his way into the starting XI at the Allianz Arena, including a starring role in their 7-2 win against Spurs in the Champions League group stages, he added two goals to that tally in the 3-0 win over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

But Wenger has now suggested that Bayern actually signed the winger back in 2016 and has criticised the way the German giants conducted themselves.

Emile Smith Rowe impresses for Huddersfield against Bristol City

Arsenal winger Emile Smith Rowe is enjoying his time on loan at Championship side Huddersfield Town.

The 19-year-old signed on loan for the rest of the season during the January transfer window and has played a part in all but one of the Terriers' Championship games since joining the club.

The winger was restored to the starting XI for Huddersfield's Championship game against Bristol City at the John Smith's Stadium on Tuesday night.

And he made an instant impact by providing the assist for former Arsenal youngster Chris Willock, older brother of Gunners' midfielder Joe, to put the Terriers one goal to the good at the half time break. Read here
