The Arsenal morning headlines as fans love what Cazorla did, Gunners offered Umtiti transfer

Here are your Arsenal morning headlines for Tuesday, March 17.

Arsenal fans love what Santi Cazorla did

With players spending more time at home, some have been sharing what they have been up to on social media with the hashtag #stayathome.

In former Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla's post, it shows a video of his son doing keepy-ups with toilet roll.

The popular Spaniard also tagged Arsenal in the post, that is because in the video, his son is wearing an Arsenal shirt.

What Arsenal stars are doing at home

And fans have taken to social media to show their delight at his son's choice of shirt.

Take a look at some of the best responses below...

Lucas Torreira injury update

Lucas Torreira has been ruled out of action for eight to ten weeks as he recovers from the fractured ankle suffered against Portsmouth.

As a result, the Uruguayan midfielder is likely to miss the remainder of the season.

Or will he?

Regardless of whatever decision the Premier League makes later this week, Torreira appears to be in good spirits as seen in the image above as he issued an injury update.

#IStayAtHome," he posted on Instagram. "Working and messing with recovery.

"COVID-19 - All together, we move forward #LT11."

Umtiti transfer

Arsenal and Manchester United have been offered the chance to sign Barcelona defender Samuel Umtiti.

That's according to the Daily Star.

The France international has long been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium, with Arsenal fans often urging him to swap Spain for north London.

Although, Le Parisien claimed he rejected the chance to join the Gunners in January.

However, Umtiti is surplus to requirements at the Camp Nou and has been offered to the aforementioned Premier League duo as the La Liga giants look to raise funds for a summer spending spree.

Currently valued at £50m, much would depend on if Arsenal are able to secure Champions League football for next season.

UEFA crisis meeting

UEFA confirmed last Friday that all fixtures in the Champions League and Europa League had been suspended due to the outbreak.

The governing body also announced that the draws for the quarter-finals of the Champions League and Europa League, planned for next Friday, have also been postponed.

All of Europe’s top leagues have faced widespread disruption, with the Premier League also postponing fixtures until the start of April at the earliest.

One suggestion in the media in the last few days was that UEFA could make a 'final four' tournament to complete this season’s Champions League and Europa League.

It remains to be seen whether that would be the case, but with the governing body set to meet today an update on what is to come next is likely to be provided.
