The Arsenal frailty Everton must exploit as Blues look to avoid unwanted record at Goodison Park

Everton face Arsenal at Goodison Park on Sunday afternoon.

The Blues will be looking to secure a third successive win after the excellent 2-0 scalp of Chelsea and wonderful display in London against West Ham which was won by the same scoreline.

In order to achieve all three points Marco Silva's side will firstly need to do the obvious - and that is score.

Richarlison sends message to Everton fans after shock Liverpool transfer rumours

On first look that may not seem like a simple feat to achieve when you consider the Gunners are sat in fourth place in the Premier League table having won four of their last five games.

However, Arsenal are the only Premier League side without an away clean sheet so far this season and that should give the Toffees a lot of hope when aiming to find the back of the net come 2.05pm.

Everton vs Arsenal: Last five games at Goodison

Unai Emery's men have kept three clean sheets in their last five Premier League games, more than they had in their previous 19 in the competition with only two.

They’re looking to secure three consecutive league shutouts for the first time since November 2017 and that will not make for easy reading, nor an easy game, for the visitors.

Everton star Dominic Calvert-Lewin explains how he can emulate Jadon Sancho's incredible rise

The Gunners' away form is actually pretty poor as they have won just one of their last eight league games on the road - drawing three and losing four.

Although it is not all plain sailing for Everton and as the Goodison faithful will know the Blues have lost seven of their last eight Premier League meetings with Arsenal (W1), including the last four in a row.

They last lost five consecutively against the Gunners between May 1998 and April 2000 and that is a record they will undoubtedly hope to leave where it is.

The fact Arsenal have travelled so poorly this season should give them a lot of hope.
