Players react to win

Arsenal players have taken to social media to react to the 1-0 win over West Ham, Alexandre Lacazette's goal in the 78th minute proved to be enough to see the Gunners take all three points from the game.

"3 PL victories on the bounce. Wasn’t very pretty today, but a must win game, so we’ll take that!" wrote Mesut Ozil.

"This is the right attitude and the way it has to go! 3 very important points today. Thanks so much to our supporters! With you everything is possible! Let's go Gunners!" Was Dani Ceballos' message.

While Bukayo Saka simply wrote: "+3 points."

VAR reaction

The winning goal was awarded after a VAR decision, with the goal originally flagged at offside.

However, after a long check with the Video Assistant Referee the decision was taken to award a goal.

Fans quickly took to social media to react to the ruling.

Lucas Torreira update

Arsenal were without midfielder Lucas Torreira for the game against West Ham after the player fractured his ankle in the 2-0 FA Cup win over Portsmouth at Fratton Park on Sunday.

The Arsenal man was in attendance for the game though as he cheered his team to victory.

However, in a concerning sight for Arsenal fans, the player was still using crutches as he made his way into the players lounge after the game.

Arsenal's social media update

Arsenal have used the VAR decision to celebrate the win after victory over West Ham this afternoon.

The club have updated their header picture on Twitter to show the screen advising the referee to award Alexandre Lacazette's 78th minute goal after it was originally ruled out for offside.

The win means that the Gunners have picked up three league wins in a row.
