The Arsenal evening headlines as Man United are told to sign Aubameyang, the 11 loan stars rated

Here are your Arsenal evening headlines for Friday, 20th March.

Man United told to sign Aubameyang

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is the key player that Manchester United "are missing", as well as a creative midfielder.

That is according to former Arsenal star Paul Merson.

Recent reports have linked the Red Devils with a summer move for the Gunners captain and the Sky Sports pundit says the 30-year-old would be perfect for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side - along with an attacking midfielder like Aston Villa's Jack Grealish.

Arsenal's player of the season so far

"Aubameyang is what Manchester United are missing," Merson wrote on Sky Sports. "He is a goal scorer and goal scorers are priceless.

"You couldn't help but be impressed with their performance and if they were to sign Aubameyang and they also got someone like a Jack Grealish, are they big players? They would be a major force, in my opinion.

"They are crying out for someone who is going to score them 20 to 25 goals, and that's what Aubameyang can bring. He gets you 25 goals without even breaking sweat.

"Add a Grealish if they can get him and then you've got Bruno Fernandes as well playing in behind a striker, Manchester United will be a major force."

Bellerin speaks out on Arsenal captaincy

With Aubameyang's future seemingly in doubt, Hector Bellerin insists he would not be fazed by the prospect of becoming Arsenal captain on a permanent basis – should he be handed the armband.

"I had been speaking to the coach for a few months and he was telling me that I could be one of the people that could represent the team," he told the club's official website.

"I was really happy with it, because I’m someone who’s been here for a long time and I know how the club runs.

"People may not see me as this massive guy who shouts on the pitch all the time or what people may have as a captain in their heads, but there are so many different ways of leading a team.

"Everyone in the team respects each other and we have so many leaders who don’t need to wear the armband to have an impact on how others think."

Loan stars rated - keep or sell

From William Saliba at Saint-Etienne to Emile Smith Rowe at Huddersfield Town, many are gaining much needed experience away from the Emirates in an attempt to catch they eye of head coach Mikel Arteta.

But who has done enough to be in the Spaniard's plans for next season?

We at football.london have taken a closer look at each player on loan away from Arsenal and whether they should be kept, sold or loaned again in the summer transfer window.
